"Larry applied Outlast log preservative on the exterior of my new log home, caulked and chinked too. He is truly an expert on log cabin preservation. He is also staining the interior too when we get the walls covered with wood paneling."

Customers say: Quick response

"Our log cabin in Mackinaw City, Michigan, was built in 1919 and the second-story (original) deck, which was also the roof for the first story, needed to be replaced. It was a big job and there was a lot of uncertainty about what they would discover when they tore off the old materials. Jason was just awesome, had ways of figuring out every little issue that came up, and Zack kept us informed all along the way. The original handmade railing had to be replaced completely because, of course it did not meet current building codes, but they all worked with us to find (and create) a railing that fit in with the rustic nature of the cabin while making the deck safe. They did a lot of little extras along the way, too, and did not mind all my questions. We would very definitely hire them again."

"Everything went smoothly. When we still had too much vibration with the new washer, TimberRidge Pro suggested the floor beneath the washer needed bracing. We scheduled this the next day and the bracing was completed shortly. Everything is fine now!!"

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes. Common materials for Roman tubs are acrylic, fiberglass, cast iron, and stone resin. The choice you make can depend on various factors, including weight, cost, durability, style, heat retention, and aesthetics. Ultimately, it really depends on your space to determine the best option.

The plumbing industry has standardized the sizes for bathtub drains. They are 1 1/2 inches wide to fit all standard bathtubs from 14 to 26 inches deep. The standard sizing is to ensure that the drain fits into the P trap, a special part of your piping that prevents sewer water from bubbling up into your home (yuck).

If you love long soaks, appreciate spa-style decor, and don't mind the extra space, a Roman tub is a beautiful addition to your bathroom.

You can resurface or reglaze your bathtub, and it’s faster and less expensive than replacing a bathtub. Plus, replacing a bathtub is an extensive and intrusive process that requires wall repairs. Refinishing is an excellent option if the old one is in good working condition.

There are also options to install a bathtub liner over your existing tub. However, if you’re seeking a new bathtub with new features, you’ll likely want to replace your tub.

It is possible to install a two-in-one unit that has both a shower and a walk-in tub so you can still have both in smaller bathrooms or provide a showerhead for those in the household who prefer taking showers. You’ll hear these referred to as walk-in tub and shower combo units. Keep in mind that these combo units can take up more space than a standard shower or tub, and you’ll most likely need to hire a pro to install one.
