"They steam cleaned the ceiling, walls, floor, and carpet. Also cleaned the baseboards and windows tracks. The condo looked brand new. They did an AMAZING job. The team was friendly and efficient. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to refresh their home and especially to anyone prepping their home for sale."

He came out the next day to provide us a quote and two days later (on a Sunday, to help us out) and complete the tile/grout repair as well as tile cleaning. "2nd time we have used Restoration Tile & Grout for our home. Both times the work has been performed well and on time. Dan provided us with the quote and scheduling. Nick did the work at our home. We had kitchen & hallway tile cleaned and grout cleaned, sealed and repaired where needed. Also 3 bathroom floors and one shower stall tiles cleaned and grout cleaned, sealed and repaired where needed. Nick did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend Restoration Tile & Grout. Also they use an epoxy grout sealer and the other other companies we received quotes from use acrylic (water based) sealers and their quotes were higher."

"It has been 18 months since this company replaced 3 cracked tiles in our 18 year old kitchen floor and painted the grout throughout the kitchen/dining area and it's still looking great! Very happy with the decision to go with the epoxy grout paint/sealer as it means no more scrubbing the grout to get it to look clean, it just always looks uniformly clean now."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Yes, many services offer waxing as part of the polishing process. Confirm with your provider.

Clean your vinyl plank floors at least one to two times per week with a broom, vacuum, or microfiber mop. You can save the mopping and disinfecting for your deeper cleans about two to three times a month. Keep in mind that if you find sticky spots, spills, or stains, it's best to take care of them ASAP.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

Baking soda is an excellent choice for a natural dog urine neutralizer. You can sprinkle it on a stain, leave it overnight, and then vacuum it in the morning to help rid your hardwoods of the dog urine smell. Hydrogen peroxide is another odor neutralizer, but be careful not to mix it with other household cleaners.
