- HOME DEPOTMy contractor, after three times over a year could not get the custom made cordless blind they had ordered from Home Depot to install without sagging. Home Depot stood behind me and had the contractor reorder the whole eight blinds. They had them order valet style rather than the levelers type they had tried. Home Depot ate the extra $100 this type cost as a courtesy to me even though it was not their fault. I will be using them directly for any work I need done at my home in the future

"Kitchen flooring needed extra work which the salesman implied was included with price but was not on work order and cost an extra $154. The flooring guy was great and explained and showed me all options before I agreed to move with implied but not covered work. The carpet install was more work than estimated and two closets were missed in the rush to finish before 9 p.m. Carpet installer said he would call and be back next week, he was just okay. He never contacted me. I called Empire and it tool them two days to set up appointment. The next carpet installer was great and did the job extremely well. All installers did a great job cleaning up and taking away trash.

"Deposit was paid in June. Job was finally finished, in the snow, in November. The communication was horrible, both between the company and us and between the various departments. The project mgr never checked on the crew - the installation should have taken 1 long day. Instead it took 3 because crew only worked 1/2 days. The deck itself looks fine. Final trim work was sloppy. It took 2 more visits to finish the job. The number of creative excuses we got regarding delays, etc., was ridiculous. We understand changes are being made, but we don't have the confidence to hire or recommend this company.
