"They did a really good job and they stand behind their work. The prices are competitive and they take pride in their work. I had a really old front door that was not insulated and they put in a new one with plenty of insulation. They also put in a new storm door and a garage side door that meant making a new doorway that's sealed properly. They answered all my questions and were respectful of the property"

"The designer was so great, even included my kids in the design experience. She really took into consideration our style and what we needed functionality. The installers were absolutely wonderful. Quick, kind and curious. They even checked with me that I was happy with the layout. Highly recommend this company."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

To ensure your Flint window replacement goes smoothly, plan your project for late spring through early fall to avoid weather delays. Begin permit applications early, as local processing can take time. Select contractors with strong reviews and confirm they follow lead-safe practices if your home was built before 1978. Clear access to work areas and anticipate potential material lead times for a seamless installation.

Helpful?

In Flint, it’s smart to consider window replacement if you notice persistent drafts, windows that stick or won’t lock, or visible damage like cracked glass or warped frames. Unexplained increases in heating or cooling bills may also indicate poor window performance. If your home’s windows are original or over two decades old, scheduling a professional window inspection is a proactive step.

Helpful?

Window replacement in Flint homes can impact your HVAC system, as improved insulation may change heating and cooling needs. During installation, contractors may uncover issues like outdated wiring or insufficient wall insulation. It’s also possible to encounter structural settling or discover the need to update security sensors. A thorough pre-project assessment helps identify these factors and ensures a smoother window installation process.

Helpful?

In Flint, combining window installation with other exterior upgrades—such as siding or roof replacement—can help streamline your project timeline and reduce disruption to your daily routine. Coordinating these improvements often means fewer contractor visits and simplified permit coordination. Additionally, tackling multiple upgrades together can improve your home’s energy efficiency and weather protection, especially before Flint’s winter season sets in.

Helpful?

Flint homeowners are prioritizing energy efficiency and modern aesthetics in window installation projects. Popular features include double- or triple-pane glass with Low-E coatings, vinyl or fiberglass frames for durability, and larger openings to maximize natural light. Trending styles range from prairie and craftsman designs for historic homes to contemporary black or bronze finishes, while classic white and almond remain favorites.
