"The crew was fast, maybe too fast...left cigarette butts on the roof, lawn, bushes, everywhere, and nails too. Fascia was "wavy" in many places, some wasn't completed, the guy running the crew left them there to finish - IN THE DARK, we gave them as many headlights we could find. Have been trying to get resolution since September. Some phone calls were returned, "will be out next week" haven't seen anyone and have been ghosted since the beginning of January."

How long garage doors last depends on the type of doors you buy and how well you care for them. But most often, garage doors will last between 15 and 30 years, on average. Garage door replacement costs around $1,200 on average, with prices ranging from $250 to $4,500, depending on a few factors. The size and material of your garage door are the most important cost factors to consider, as some materials—like wood composite—can easily cost two to three times what an aluminum garage door would total. Larger garage doors will also drive up your material and labor costs, especially if you’re also installing new hardware and garage door openers. It’s best to get a customized estimate from a local garage door installer for your project.

You don’t need a garage door opener unless you need or desire the convenience they offer. While you may be able to open some garage doors manually, having a garage door opener makes life a lot easier. There is an exception, though—a motorized opener is an absolute must if you have a two-car garage (or larger), as the door will be too heavy for the average person to lift on their own.

Garage door sensors should be installed on each side of the door, typically six inches off of the ground. While you can technically use WD-40 to lube a garage door, it is not the best option since the oil it leaves behind can attract dirt. Instead, go to the hardware store and locate a lithium- or silicone- based garage grease. You can also search for garage door lubricant online; just make sure you get one that is made with lithium or silicone.
