"Bought a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal and figured I'd swap the faucet myself. After crawling under the sink for a bit, I realized it was more of a pain than I wanted to deal with, so I called him. He got both installed without any issues, checked everything for leaks, made sure the disposal was running right, and tested the faucet before he left. Everything feels solid and works exactly like it should. Fair price and good service."

"Judd S Handyman is very versatile, professional, and can tackle a variety of tasks around your home or business. For me he has done patios, deck work, putting up hooks, building a canvas shelter, fixed a faucet - those are just some of the things he has done for me. Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

A handyperson is the professional term used to describe professional fixers who can tackle a wide range of general home repairs. Some pros may prefer to use the term handyworker, handyman, or handywoman, so we recommend politely asking your pro how they would like you to identify them during the project.

Reviewing your contract for termination terms is best when ending a relationship with a contractor. If there is nothing in the contract or you had a verbal agreement, communicate your decision in writing, citing specific reasons. Afterward, pay for the completed work per your original agreement. Remember you want a record of all correspondence in case you need a lawyer later to settle disputes.

There are a few advantages to hiring a handyperson as a contractor, namely that they will likely charge less for their services since they don’t have as much overhead. A handyperson might also have more flexibility and be more involved in your specific home project, so you can communicate with one person instead of a subcontractor team.

Rates vary by task complexity and time, often providing cost-effective solutions for homeowners.

If a contractor is in breach of your contract, sometimes it is possible to collect damages for unreasonable delays. However, such claims can be expensive and difficult to prove. If there’s a way to complete the work and maybe negotiate for a discount for some of the inconvenience, that might be a simpler and cheaper way to resolve any disputes.
