He installed new drywall ceilings and insulation in our family camp in Maine that had some storm damage from a falling tree and destroyed indoor ceiling thus needed replacement. Runs an excellent business. Responded to inquiry intially very promptly. and scheduled repair at time of quote within a couple of days. We are a full service property maintenance company. In addition we complete demos and complete remodels/builds as well.

"The work was top-notch, but their internal and customer-facing communication is weak. 90% of the job was as expected, but the last two items (shower doors) were installed without us approving the particular door. The owner will say they were approved, but that's not the case. One door we never saw pictures of at all, and for the other we got two cellphone pics of a computer screen saying "this is what we typically install." A month later that ultra-modern looking door was on the wall in my old farmhouse. Complaints on my part were met with threats and bullying until I paid the full balance. I finally decided it was worth missing out on the shower door to get rid of the guy. In the process of the job, I got emails from one person in the company about things that had already been decided by someone else, so it was obvious that the internal communication was weak as well. Glad I can be rid of this company. Too bad because the people they hired to do the actual work at the house were wonderful."

You’ll want to inspect your plaster walls for signs of damage before painting. If you notice soft spots, deep cracks, bubbling, or areas where the plaster is crumbling or pulling away from the wall, it likely needs repair. Doing so can reduce the amount of plaster dust released into the air and make it easier to work in smaller, more delicate areas (such as around wall trim). However, some people find that wet sanding leads to more imperfections, which is why larger walls are more often dry sanded to ensure an even finish.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.

It is possible to apply plaster on the interior or exterior of your home, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster is easy to apply in theory, but in reality, it can be a challenging material to work with, and it’s difficult to get the finished product to look clean, even, and smooth. Many DIYers end up calling in a professional afterward to touch up the area or even redo it entirely because of mistakes they made in the process. Hiring a plaster pro will cost more, but it’s usually the best option to achieve high-quality results.
