"We had a dead tree taken down and dead branches removed from a couple trees around the driveway. They were on time, worked diligently to get the job done, and cleaned up very well. Very respectful of our property. Would definitely recommend them"

"Kevin was great, fair quote, flexible dates for service. They just finished spring clean-up, took away lots of leaves and pesky pine needles, yard looks great. They're coming back to finish one section that still has snow on it, and even said they can haul away some small raised beds. With 8-month twins at home we appreciate the convenience and will add them as a go-to for lawn maintenance, etc.! Recommended if you're in the mid-coast area (they're based out of Wiscasset)."

"Daniel made my property look great! I was very pleased to come home to all the leaves and branches gone. I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders! He was right on estimate for cost and very reasonably priced. I look forward to having him back to help with some landscaping as well!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.

If your roof was constructed between 1930 and 1970, there’s a possibility that the shingles contain asbestos. If that’s the case, you should hire a professional for repairs and replacement, as they’ll have the necessary equipment to stay safe from such a hazardous and cancer-causing substance. If your home was constructed after this period, it’s unlikely that the shingles in place are toxic. In most cases, asbestos shingles are not recyclable, while standard asphalt shingles are recyclable.

Lead removal services typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the extent of lead presence, the property size, and the complexity of the abatement process.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.
