"Shannon came to our rescue to help with our raccoon in the attic the same day I called AND it was Easter Sunday! Now that is amazing customer service! Had to drive 90 minutes to get to my Scarborough home. He will be our go-to guy for all future wildlife control."

Small jobs welcome

"Dennis, who contacted me from this critter control service was very courteous and very prompt. He came to assess my situation in less than a day from contact with him. His service was actually the most reasonably priced service, of all those I contacted. He successfully found the hole where the squirrels were getting into my walls and ceilings, and set up the one way door. Within 2 days, all the noise that I was hearing in my ceilings and walls had diminished. He came within the time frame he conveyed and removed the one way door and then sealed up the hole. I have not had any issues since. The squirrels are no longer having parties in my ceilings and walls. My house is now very quiet. I would recommend Dennis and his service very highly."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Yes, dryer sheets can help repel mice. The strong artificial fragrances found in many dryer sheets, such as citrus, floral, or lavender, are unpleasant to mice, which are very sensitive to smells. Many people report success using them to deter mice from areas like cars, drawers, vents, and cupboards. The scent can last for many days, making the space undesirable for rodents. However, dryer sheets may not be a foolproof solution on their own. For more effective protection against rodent infestations, it is best to combine them with other preventive measures like traps, repellent sprays, and proper storage practices.

Vinegar can be an insect repellant, as many bugs find its scent off-putting. However, vinegar is acidic and may also cause damage to any plants it comes in contact with. If you'd like to use vinegar to deter pests in your garden, be careful not to spray it directly on the plant's leaves or stems.

It's also worth noting that vinegar's effects can be short. To continue to repel bugs, you'll need to spray vinegar repeatedly.

Deer rely on scent to tell them what’s safe and unsafe, so effective deer repellents have to be pungent. Make your own natural repellent by combining a beaten egg, one tablespoon of cooking oil, one tablespoon of dish soap, and a half cup of milk. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray around your garden, avoiding anything you will want to eat later. This stinky repellent will ward off any deer that want to make your produce their next meal. But keep in mind that if your windows are nearby, the scent may waft over.

Bleach can technically kill drain flies, but it’s not really a great tool for getting rid of an infestation. Bleach flows down your pipes too quickly to penetrate the film where drain flies lay their eggs. Alternatively, you can use it to clean around drains, which can help prevent drain flies from returning once you get rid of the infestation.

The time and number of treatments required to get rid of roaches depend on several factors, including the type of roach, the severity of the infestation, and the extermination method. For small infestations, a single treatment may be sufficient, with results seen in as little as 1 to 3 days. Larger or more severe infestations will require several treatments. It typically takes around 2 to 8 weeks to completely eliminate roaches in most cases, but severe infestations can take up to 6 months to fully resolve.
