"Do NOT hire Dennis!! A project that should have taken 2 weeks, took over 6 weeks. To start, I contacted Dennis 3-4 weeks before we purchased a fixer upper house. He said he could start work the day after closing to get things going. The day of closing I reach out to Dennis to confirm he would be there in the morning and he informed me that he would be able to start for another week. To me that was unacceptable since this was schedule for about month. When the project finally started He would show up anywhere from 8AM-1PM and would only stay for a hour or two at the most. He was constantly making excuses that he had forgotten certain tools, had to finish other jobs he was working on, had to run to the hardware store to get something, etc. He said he would be right back but would wouldn’t return until the next day. Thankfully he wasn’t doing a lot of the work but had subcontracts do a majority of it. They worked hard and did a decent job. About a week or two after the project was complete, the new custom shower/tub that was put in wouldn’t turn off and was about to overflow onto the floor before I could get the water shut off. In the process some water went down the overflow drain and the next morning I have a large brown spot on my kitchen ceiling from the water. I had to have the water off to the whole house for over a day before I could get a plumber to come look at it. The plumber told me that the faucet was install wrong and with the wrong materials and that the overflow drain was put on backwards, leaving a large gap in the fitting. This is especially unacceptable because Dennis is a plumber. That night this happened I tried contacting Dennis about the issue to have him come fix it but he never answered. I had to foot the bill for the hundreds of dollars worth of mistakes he made. To be honest, there is a lot more I could say but I will spare you. I will definitely never hire him again!"

Lou also advised us to get two double gates in addition to the single gate so that we could get a mower (or other equipment) in, as needed.
