The crews were all very nice and polite. I had brick steps totally removed and rebuilt with granite treads and stone fronts. I made the landing deeper and wider and they worked with me when I wanted to change the height of each step. Next I changed a section that had old railroad ties and a curved section of 5 steps to solid granite steps and made them more manageable. Finally the walkway was brick and we replaced it with pavers. When I saw the sample pavers on sight prior to install I really wasn't happy with the color that yes I had chosen. They were good about providing a second sample which I was much happier with and we went with...I am VERY PLEASED with the final result. The front of the house looks great now.!!! I decided as an after thought to have them do a small section in brick using some of my removed bricks...I received a proposal and the work was able to be done a few weeks later. I also want to say that this work was done in some pretty extreme heat and they work full days and stuck it out in the horrible heat. I would recommend and use these guys again no question. I needed a complete rip up and replacement of a good size driveway. They sent me a proposal complete with a sketch of the area to be done broken down by sections. I had to make some changes and it was a very simple process. Everyone I spoke with both in office and in person were very polite and responsive. I also had to delay the install for a month or so and they were very accommodating . The job was to be two days. One for removal...one for install. Once I got the time for the removal they showed up as expected on time. We had to change the day of install due to severe rain. When they called to cancel they gave me a new date. Today it went in and it seemed to go smoothly. Now I just need to wait for it all to cure(?)....I am hoping when we get another rain I will see that the correction of the old grade to a new one and will be all set.
I would recommend and use the company again. This visit was a shot update. They gave her a physical and then gave her, her needed shots. They are always kind and polite to both my dogs and me. They give me a choice of small animal vets, they also do equine and large animals, and are able to get us in at a reasonable length of time. When one of the dogs had major health issues, they were sure to forward information to Lewiston Emergency Clinic in case she had major problems over the weekend. After her weekend issues, the emergency clinic updated my vet on they handled her treatments. When one of my dogs had cancer, the vet was honest with me and told me I could give her chemotherapy, but that many of his patient's owners that did chemo said, and quot;I'm glad I did it, but I'll never do it again.and quot; It helped me decide how to handle her cancer. It also made me feel like I wasn't being pressured to spend major dollars to fill their coffers. When she had to be put to sleep, I was concerned that our younger dog, who was always nervous going to the vet, would become a major problem to get to the vet again, if she came to be with the older dog when she was put down. Therefore, we went into the horse barn to put the older one down. The younger one realized what was going on, but was also distracted by the smells there. I thought it was a great solution. My son has changed from his previous vet to Annabessacook because he is able to get his dog in more quickly and the prices are more reasonable than his previous big city vet. FAQs for animal removal projects in North Monmouth, ME
DIY animal removal is rarely a good idea and is not advised for many reasons. First, these types of animals can carry diseases and, therefore, pose a health risk to you, your family, and your pets if mishandled. Second, depending on your city or municipality, it may be illegal to remove or handle wildlife yourself.
Sealing your home against these animals yourself is also a bad idea. Trapping an animal under your house will cause odor and insect problems when it passes away.
Pest control is not the same as animal removal. Pest control specialists treat for insects and bugs, often by using chemicals. Animal removal specialists try to avoid chemicals if possible and instead work to trap and move the animal that's causing problems.
Since each expert has their own removal methods, it's best to contact a pest control professional for insects and bugs and an animal control specialist for other animals.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.
Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
