When trees need to be removed for whatever reason, Whitney Tree has all the resources available for any tree removal project. No job is too big or too small. We have several bucket trucks, log loaders, tractors, stump grinders, and cranes at our disposal to handle even the most difficult removal jobs. All of our crews have experienced licensed arborists performing the work, which in the state of Maine is the law. Any bi-products that are hauled off site (brush chips, wood) are re-cycled there is no waste! See our website for more information. I'm very pleased to have done business with Whitney Tree Service. They know their stuf and then some. It took a while to  get out here after a rain cancellation but worth the wait. Ed and his assistant couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating and jumped right into the work. They completed the job in a lightning three hours and removed and cleaned everything - and I mean everything. It was worth every penny and we were pleased to have them here. They'll hear from me again.

Job done, done right. Can't find the exact dates for these events. Two different years. I have them scheduled to remove 4 large roadside trees and 3 trees in a field late fall 2014 or over the winter 2014/2105.

Very professional and courteous crew with a bucket truck, chipper, pulp truck, and front loader removed a 70' Hemlock and cleaned up the area of resulting debris. Almost no evidence that they were even there. All done in less than two hours.

The three man team were on time, very personable and talked with me before they started to make sure they were doing exactly what we wanted. Everything was shredded and hauled away. They raked the lawns where they worked taking up a lot of twigs, etc. which fell during the winter. They even cleaned up the street from their chipping machine.

I ended up going with another provider only because they got their estimate back faster and could do it two days later. By the time I got Whitney's estimate I had already had the work done. Their estimate was pretty close to what I paid for having the work done. I would recommend their services based on estimate only as I did not have them do any physical tree work for me.

I hired Whitney after the first tree service left the work incomplete and my yard a complete mess. Whitney came in grounded a stump, cut trees, and completed the clean up. Their work was really good and they cleaned up wonderfully. I would use them again.

This was a very professional company to work with. They brought arborists who did an evaluation of the property to determine how to trim and cut the trees to allow more sunlight to get to the ones that were staying in our yard.

Signed and mailed estimate after a site visit and discussion with us the homeowners. Did not call with date they would be coming. Showed up early morning. Trampled and destroyed strawberry patch when it could have been avoided. Threw large logs onto shrubbery and small trees killing them. Left wood on lawn instead of placing in woods as requested in estimate. Did not grind stumps as requested in part of written estimate and then charged us full price instead of winter rate. Very disappointed and would not recommend.
