"The company was incapable to help me. With that, they should give me a refund but instead they keep charging me for an additional $100. The guy didn't even went back to get the traps. Within 6 months, I've been receiving bills from them. I just want to get a refund and stop from billing me additional charges. I am really not happy with them."

Pine State Pest Solutions is "Maine's One-Stop Solution for Pest Control!" Pine State offers professional pest control services including General pests, Mosquitoes & Ticks, Rodents, Wildlife Control, Pest Exclusion and Bed Bug Inspection/Treatments through our bed bug specialty division, Thermal Solutions of Maine. Pine State provides safe and effective pest solutions for residential and commercial clients throughout Maine by implementing "Green" techniques and control methods through active monitoring, exclusion, and minimizing the use of chemicals. At Pine State Pest Solutions, we pride ourselves in being a Maine-based, locally owned company and providing fast, effective, and friendly service to our neighbors.

"My initial experience with Pine State Pest Solutions was generally positive. I asked for an inspection and that went just fine, but when it came to the actual treatments, things went downhill quickly. The technician was two hours late. E-mails and phone calls fell on deaf ears. They don't seem to value my time. Scheduling the follow up inspection was a hassle. I was told that they've already responded to my e-mails when they clearly haven't. Luckily, the times that they set up without my confirmation worked out. The second technician was on time and did a great job. E-mails for a final inspection asking for a Thursday was replied to with "I have you booked for Friday afternoon!" without considering that maybe no one will be home on that day. And the icing on the cake is that they still showed up today, Thursday, when I basically told them that I no longer need them and exclaimed how unhappy I was with their services. I don't understand how they've failed with basic communication, it's not rocket science. I'd have honestly given then 4 stars if not for this glaring matter."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

Bees usually have thicker, fuzzy bodies, while wasps have slender, smooth bodies. Behavior and nesting also differ.

Early spring or late fall removals are ideal when bees are less active, and hive removal is safer.

You might be tempted to call your local municipality to remove animals from your property, such as a groundhog burrowing in your yard or raccoons getting into your trash cans. However, they typically only remove domestic animals like dogs and cats from properties, or sick and injured wildlife that pose a public safety risk or health threat, such as a rabid animal. They typically do not capture or remove healthy wildlife.

Animal removal professionals have the tools, knowledge, and skills to trap and remove wild animals adequately and humanely. They also can relocate them correctly.

Ensure proper ventilation, address leaks, and conduct regular inspections.

If you seal bees in a wall and don’t leave them any way to escape, they may make one of their own. Otherwise, they’ll die inside the wall, and that creates many additional problems. It takes a long time, and the bees will start rotting, which can make your home smell miserable. All the dead bees and any honeycombs they may have created will also attract a number of bugs or other pests to your home. That’s why we suggest removing the bees entirely, and not trying to seal them away.
