"We had a highly positive experience with this business in more ways than ever expected. Simon went above and beyond to help me and work through my indecisiveness on colors. He was so patient and continued to give me advice and encouragement. He was professional, kind, hard working and meticulous. Our home came out beautiful and we were beyond happy with the experience. I have to say that itâ  s difficult to find people that have work ethic like Simon and would very highly recommend him."

"I love ❤️ the paint job on my home Jose did a wonderful job he’s very professional and very kind would knock on the door to make sure he was doing everything exactly the way I wanted it . This company helps you with your color choices ,they came out 2 times with a smile but even after that I wanted to see several shades Rex came right out a 3rd time the next day and put color samples on my wall so I could choose the one I liked the best I have have to say what really touched me was I became very ill and was admitted into the hospital and besides for the norm of Jose telling me I hope you get well he asked if I needed anything at all and then Rex said the same thing . I was list for words I really believe if I was alone and needed some soup Jose wound have gotten it but the wok was beautiful everything was cleaned up they texted to say when they were here ,and when he was done for the day , and what time he would come the next day . I didn’t expect my bars to be in the price but was happily surprised to come home and see them painted also I recommend this company I definitely will be calling for my outside wall and interior painting to be done . Thanks Lenzen"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

You can find chemical and naturally derived paint thinners to remove paint without as much sanding. A heat gun or pressure washer can also remove paint from large areas. However, sanding is often the best way to remove the final bits of paint that remain on the surface.

It’s best to use a slightly slower-working paint remover that is safer to use, such as mineral spirits, because the strongest spray paint removers are often also the most toxic. Many of these products contain dangerous chemicals, such as methylene chloride, which the EPA banned for most uses in April 2024 after it was established as a major carcinogen.

The most common reason paint peels is because moisture gets trapped underneath it and disrupts its bond with the wall. Other causes for peeling paint include a poor original paint job, painting over a surface with dirt or other foreign material on it, or applying paint coats that are too thick.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

Most handy homeowners can tackle removing texture from unpainted walls. Removing texture from painted walls is a bit trickier. Paint acts as a sealant, so you can’t soften the texture with water. Instead, you’ll have to add a layer of drywall compound known as a skim coat. This process is messy and takes some practice.
