  Jason did an excellent job both times that we hired him. He is meticulous, careful, and pays a high degree of attention to detail. We are very pleased with the painting he did first on the exterior of our home and then again in our living room, which is relatively complex with a cathedral ceiling spanning two floors. I do encourage all project managers to over-communicate with the home-owners. Our only frustration was not being fully included in daily schedules.   We were absolutely thrilled with the work L.R. Higgins did on our home. They did two projects for us -- remodeling our kitchen and replacing the siding -- and both were done to an exceptional standard. Our house is 100 years old, so remodeling the kitchen involved some unexpected problem solving. Our initial design had to be reworked to account for the fact that the original walls were not up to code and for some other surprise quirks that were revealed when the space was gutted. What we ended up with is actually even better than the original design and is exactly what we wanted. We are so happy with the workmanship and quality, and Eric was incredibly responsive throughout the process. The same goes for the siding. We had someone come recently to do other work on our house and they actually commented to us about the quality of the siding work. Plus, everyone at L.R. Higgins with whom we interacted and all of their subcontractors were incredibly professional and courteous

  He was the most honest man I worked. He can do anything. It was good. He knew what he was doing. I don't have to watch over him. My experience was good. He did everything I asked. He was a good carpenter. He was a great guy. As he gotten older he doesn't go up to ladder anymore, which was okay. The price was $40 per hour

  Some items included in the invoice were $615 for demolition (?) and cleanup, $1,155 for painting the frames (I did it myself once in less than 2hrs). A water hose was used for clean up (?) which resulted in gray paint chips flying up from porch deck being prepared for painting (not incl. in job) and sticking to surrounding white woodwork which was difficult and time consuming for me to remove. They also spilled a small amount of white paint on my new asphalt driveway. Finally, it took several calls over several weeks to get credit on the final invoice for a deposit I made before the work began. <br /
