"I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding work performed by Diamond Electric during a recent electrical service upgrade at our property. From start to finish, the entire crew demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and exceptional craftsmanship. They arrived on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the work efficiently and safely. What stood out most was their attention to detail—even the smallest aspects of the job were handled with care and precision. It’s not often that you come across contractors who combine technical expertise with such a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to work with them again, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of electrical work."

"Eric did a fantastic job installing our new bathroom fan. He was courteous, honest, and clearly knows his trade. The fan is quiet and works beautifully. It’s such a relief to find someone reliable and skilled. We will definitely use Angell Electrical again! Highly recommend."

Customers say: True professional

"Scott did an excellent job for us. We needed an EV charger installed and a few other things done. He came by, sized up the job and gave us an estimate. In a few days he showed up ready work. He installed the EV charger, re[laced 4 thrmostats, and fixed a doorbell. All went well. His price was reasonable. He worked quickly and efficiently and got everytjing right the first time. I highly recommenr Moses Electric and would glady hire Scott for future electrical jobs."

"Roy and his crew installed a media wall for us. It was much more a construction project than electric, but they did both beautifully and managed it very professionally, cleaning up after themselves and doing an extremely precise job. Cost was reasonable compared to other quotes. They are busy, so be prepared to wait a little on scheduling and communication. We plan to hire again!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The light that your ceiling light gives off will largely depend on the type of light bulb that’s installed in it. If you’re looking to brighten a dark room, LED bulbs are the way to go. LED bulbs will emit the most light while also using less energy than standard bulbs. They can last up to 50,000 hours and will need to be replaced much less often than standard bulbs.

Electrical fires are unique from other fire types because they have the potential to deliver electric shocks in addition to being on fire. Avoid serious injury from possible electrical emergency situations by avoiding the use of water, foam-based fire extinguishers, wet-chemical fire extinguishers,  flour, or baking powder to put out an electrical fire.

Type S or T fuses don’t require any special removal or installation tools. However, replacing a cartridge-style fuse is easier and safer when using a fuse-puller tool. All of these tools should be available anywhere you can buy fuses.

Smart light switches are designed to work with most traditional light fixtures and wiring. However, there are several compatibility factors to consider. Some smart switches require a neutral wire to function, which may not be present in older homes (typically built before 1985). If you plan to use a dimming feature, ensure your LED bulbs are specifically the dimmable type. Additionally, a stable Wi-Fi connection is necessary for remote control, though some models may use other standards like ZigBee, which would require a compatible smart home hub.

Dehumidifiers typically use 300 to 700 watts of electricity per hour, whereas portable dehumidifiers use about 40 watts per hour. The exact amount of electricity your dehumidifier will generate depends on its capacity and energy efficiency. Generally, higher-capacity dehumidifiers generate more electricity than lower-capacity units, but they also usually have better energy efficiency over the long run.
