"I contacted Scott Harlow through Angi and I couldnâ t be more pleased with his work. Scott removed the old film on 15 of my sunroom windows and replaced it with new UV and heat retardant film. The windows look fantastic. Not only is Scottâ s work excellent, but he is also very pleasant, prompt and a true expert at his craft. I recommend him highly and without reservation."

"When we decided to add a front porch to our home, Yann got back to us right away and met with us to go over every detail. He was prompt, transparent, and very fair with his pricing. The communication throughout the entire project was excellent. Yann is a true pro with great suggestions and a sharp eye for design. Once construction began, his team worked incredibly hard. They were respectful, skilled, and cleaned up at the end of each day. We were genuinely amazed when they continued to show up and work through rain, snow, and freezing temperatures. The finished porch is absolutely stunning! It completely transformed the look of our home, and we couldn’t be happier. Pro Warrior Painting & Construction exceeded our expectations, and we will absolutely be working with Yann and his crew again on future home improvements. Highly recommend!"

"Asa is a hard worker and very easy to get along with. He took the time to explain what needed to be done and did everything with care and to the utmost quality. His initial quote held true even though the job required a bit more time and material than expected. I will highly recommend Asa in the future.

Small jobs welcome

"Costas and his team did a wonderful job on my Aunt's home. What started off as a deck repair, turned into so much more (siding, windows, new 1/2 bath). The house had been in a bit of disrepair and he was very thoughtful and thorough in his approach to bringing it back to life. My family and I will enjoy it for many years to come, and I truly appreciate some of the little things he did along the way to ensure everything was done right. He took the initiative to select things when I was not able to be there. It felt very much like he was treating as if it were his own home. His attention to detail was terrific, and he was super responsive. THANK YOU again!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

The best way to clean outside windows is by using a garden hose. Start by spraying the windows with a high-pressure stream to clear off loose dirt and grime. Then use a mixture of hot water and dish soap and scrub the windows with a sponge. Rinse off the soapy water with the hose. Before you finish up, spray the windows with a solution of vinegar and water and wipe them down with a microfiber cloth.

Window replacement is typically always worth the cost, both from a money-saving standpoint and a comfort standpoint. If your windows are older and significantly damaged, a window replacement can actually save you money in the long term by improving energy efficiency. If your windows aren’t up to code, you may not really have a choice.

It’s easy to tell if you have low-E windows. Light a match or grab a pen light and hold it up to your windows. You should see multiple reflections in the window—four for double-pane windows. If one of the reflections is a slightly different color than the other three, you have low-E windows. If you don’t have low-E windows, all the reflections will be the same color.

Yes, storm windows should be tempered. According to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, tempered glass is stronger and can withstand temperatures higher than laminated glass. Tempered glass is important for storm windows because it protects against outside elements and household accidents by not producing sharp, jagged pieces when it breaks or shatters.

ENERGY STAR®-certified windows are the most energy-efficient windows on the market. This certification means that the window meets strict efficiency guidelines set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency. While they might cost more upfront, they can save you money on your energy bills in the long run. ENERGY STAR®-certified windows lower household energy bills by an average of 12% annually.
