"Our septic drain froze around a huge root ball and everything backed up into the house. We had a different service come and they tried to thaw the pipe, charged us $1000 for that work and then said they’d have to dig up our entire lawn to fix the problem. Zoom drain came for a second opinion. They used the camera and found the problem, fixing it with jets of hot water and a roto rooter. Saved us about $2000. They were awesome. They also put shoe guards on every time they enter the building so they’re not tracking mud and brown water into your house. You really get the sense they’re not there to spend your money, they just want to get the job done. Highly recommend."

"

After going through several different Angie's List reviews, Randy was the first person I called. I left a voicemail message, and within 2 minutes he had called me back and scheduled an appointment to check out the situation.  He was able to come out that afternoon which put my mind at ease. Upon arrival, he was very thorough in his evaluation, explaining things as he went along.  It was determined that although not completely failing (yet), that the water tank should be replaced along with installing a water filtration system to eliminate the sediment coming in through the pipes into the house. Randy didn't try to upsell anything, just gave me his opinion, and left it to me to decide on what work he would perform.  I opted to get the tank & water filtration system both done.

The day of the repairs, Randy was actually early (nice!) and came ready to work.  He got right to the job and did all the work we had discussed.  He was prompt and efficient, and finished the job in a timely manner.  He was personable, professional, and was clear in his explanations of the work he had performed.  I had another service person come for a different job a couple of days later, and he even commented on the great job that Randy did installing the filtration system.

From start to finish, this was an excellent example of a job well done, and excellent customer service.  Randy also advised me of some other potential issues to watch out for and that he would follow up in the summer to ensure that the system he had installed was performing as expected.  I would highly recommend Randy to do any work within his scope of expertise.

"Called with an issue with my furnace, they were the only company to actually answer the phone. Professional customer service and prompt scheduling. Gave me an honest estimate and proceeded with the job that day. Would recommend to anyone needing service or a new system installed! 10/10!"

"We had to wait almost 3 months to get our new shower installed, parts were ordered but took a long time to be delivered. The installers were on time, hard working and cleaned up each day. The price was high for a shower stall."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Instead of a security door, you might opt for a heavy-duty screen door made from durable mesh, which allows better sunlight and airflow. Additionally, you could enhance security by installing strong locks on your existing door. A double-cylinder deadbolt provides robust security; however, be aware that some local laws prohibit them due to safety concerns during emergencies.

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

The average cost to install a door is around $1,100, but you could pay anywhere from $150 for a hollow-core interior door installation up to $2,000 or a high-end exterior door installation. There are a few cost factors to consider to get an accurate price, including whether your wall opening exists, the type of door, the quality and security of the door, whether you need to replace the frame, and the door size. You can expect to pay $150 to $700 for a standard 36-by-80-inch door and between $400 and $1,600 for an 80-by-48-inch door.

No, a storm door should not replace a regular door. It lacks the durability, insulation, and security of a proper exterior door. Most storm doors have lightweight frames and minimal locking hardware, and they aren’t meant to stand alone. While they work well as a backup to your main entry door, relying on one as your only barrier would likely lead to drafts, higher energy bills, and safety concerns.

If you’re replacing an interior door, it’s best to get the work done in the summer or winter, as door installation professionals are the least busy during these seasons and might charge lower labor costs based on the decreased demand. You can also potentially save money by hiring a professional to install your exterior door during these seasons, but most homeowners wait until the spring or fall so that the extreme temperatures don’t put added strain on their HVAC systems while the door is being added or replaced.
