"Resonant thinned out the trees in the woods and planted new trees and bushes around our house. They are in the process of putting in pavers to our front door with a great eye for design. Enjoyable to work with as we discuss ideas and see them brought to completion. We highly recommend them."

"Mr. Gottlieb was the very first person to call. He arrived right on time for the appointment to give us a quote. He has not had a chance to start working because of the weather. However he is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate about his work. We definitely hired him and look forward to working with him not only this year or each year maintaining our property as well."

"The project involved having to open the ceilings in the downstairs part of our home in order to correct upstairs heating issues. A fair estimate of materials and time costs was presented, but once opened up the work needed was more extensive than thought. After plumbing work was completed, sheetrock was put back up. There were 6 rooms and a hallway that were worked on. Mudding and sanding was completed, but estimated hours were not correct. Ross Janelle worked with me to come up with a fair cost, which amounted to what I had planned for. I hired Ross to also complete the painting of ceilings and color match the walls. Very pleased with the final results."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Backyard water features can add serenity to your property, drown out neighborhood noise, and serve as a focal point to a stunning landscape design. In some cases, a properly installed and maintained water feature can add to your home’s value. Just be sure to check with your insurance company before installation since some features may affect your premiums.

Yes, it is possible to make a fountain without a pump, though it may seem less intuitive and will require a bit more effort to use. In lieu of an electric pump, there are a few options including hand-cranked pumps or sprinkler systems that can work to provide water for a fountain.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

Yes, it’s possible to DIY a plunge pool and shave labor costs off of the project total. If you’re considering a DIY build, keep in mind that you will be responsible for pool installation and landscaping (which may require excavation). This type of DIY project is best left to particularly handy homeowners who have prior pool installation experience.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.
