"We could not have asked for a better experience that ended with a beautiful bathroom. Joe and all of the contractors that came in and out of the house were easy to communicate with, friendly and did a phenomenal job. My wife is all ready talking about the next project :). (Will post a picture when I figure out how)"

Small jobs welcome

"As our project proceed we found additional problems that needed to be address. Doug always had great ideas on how to best address the problems and the most reasonable cost to complete them. He always gave us pros and cons for the best ways to address the new problems. Was very helpful with finding additional services that he recommended do the job due to their expertise in the area, such as encapsulation of the crawl space."

"The bathroom tiles in our 1960s bathroom shower were literally falling off the wall. I contacted Home Advisor and was honored to be introduced to Michael Minietta. Michael is a visionary. He completely transformed our bathroom into a sanctuary significantly improving our quality of life. His carpentry skills are second to none and he can fix anything. Michael is extremely clean, trustworthy, talented and knowledgeable. He is pleasant and always has a positive outlook. Michael has become an extension of our family. He is treasured by all including our dog. We couldn't be happier with the results of this project. I highly recommend Michael. 135832570"

"We just got our basement remodeled by Blue Ridge Builders and we are extremely satisfied with their performance. The basement looks outstanding and the finish mirrors that of our main floor upstairs. We could not have hired a better builder. Wayne and his crew demonstrated to us that they are real professionals. The structure and finish is solid. My wife and I were looking for honesty, dependability and professionalism; Blue Ridge Builders demonstrated all of the above and more. Thank you so much Wayne. We would definitely recommend Blue Ridge Builders."

"I worked directly with Jasmine. Jasmine was great to work with, very professional and relatable. She was understanding about the sudden changes in color and material I had during multiple consultations. She offered me a vast knowledge of materials and details about the work I hadn’t thought of or didn’t know about. If I have another project in the future I won’t hesitate to reach out to Sentri Homes."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

It depends on your budget and what you’re trying to achieve. If you’re looking for a fast and easy solution, buying a cooler or prefabricated root cellar is a good choice.

But, if you want ample storage space to house your many fruits, vegetables, and root crops, you should build a root cellar for the long term.

Complex plumbing is tricky and expensive in an off-the-ground dwelling like this. By considering options like composting toilets, rainwater collection, and gray-water sinks, you save money and help the environment.

There's no simple answer to which is less costly: wood or metal-framed homes. In most cases, metal building components cost more than wooden ones, while entire metal buildings cost less than wooden versions. However, regardless of the exterior framing or structure, each must meet similar building codes. This means that the costs are about the same, even considering that wood will require more maintenance than metal over time.

It is almost always more affordable to buy an existing home than to build a new one. Building a home involves numerous costs, including labor, permits, inspections, utility hookups, and brand-new materials, finishes, and appliances. Additionally, new construction loans can have higher interest rates than traditional mortgages, and property taxes on new homes are often higher, increasing long-term costs. An exception is a DIY house build, which can be cheaper than buying an existing home if you do the labor yourself. While building is generally more expensive, a new custom home offers complete control over the layout and design. Furthermore, new construction is typically worth more than a comparable pre-owned home and may provide a better return on investment if sold quickly.

Building a treehouse can vary in difficulty depending on factors such as design complexity, size, and the builder’s woodworking experience. Basic treehouses with simple designs can be manageable for DIYers with some carpentry skills, while more elaborate structures may pose challenges. Adequate planning, research, and careful execution can make the process more manageable, and resources like premade plans or professional assistance are always available for additional support.
