The electrician was in my house for 35 minutes. For ten of those minutes, he spent trying to find the light switch in his van. Based on that previous experience, when I saw the Pariseau Electric deal for $295, I grabbed it after reading the fine print. The fine print seemed to suggest that as long as there was an existing light switch with supporting wiring in the walls that the work would fall under the deal. I tried calling James, the business owner, towards the end of the deal offer period, but couldn't reach him. So, I got the deal and then wound up getting in touch with him after the purchase.

After describing the existing room configuration and wiring, he estimated that his work would cost $400 rather than $295. In addition, he estimated that about $200-$300 of dry wall repair work would be necessary after the job. All-in, this winds up being a bigger expense than we can undertake at the current time. Although this development is disappointing, I appreciate that James was upfront and honest about anticipated costs when I spoke to him on the phone."
