"Over the years I have used many carpet cleaning companies. DiamondShine stands head and shoulders above them all and now I will never use anyone else! Other companies gave me a quote but said it was just an estimate and they would not be able to give me a definitive price until they arrived the day of the cleaning. DiamondShine stood behind their price and I knew exactly what I was getting. Although they were not the lowest, they were very reasonable and I could rest assured that I would not be scammed like I have been with other companies. The tech confirmed he would be there the day before, called 15 minutes beforehand and arrived precisely on time. It was obvious he was a professional by the way he walked through the home to get a scope of the work and then set right to work, finishing much before I thought he would. He also wore a mask. The work quality was superior. I had thought that I would have to replace the carpets but after DiamondShine they look amazing. I really can't believe it! When I hired a carpet cleaner a couple of years ago I also went through home advisor and had an absolutely terrible experience - but decided to give them one more try. It is companies like DiamondShine that make this site of value to customers. Do yourself a favor - don't use anyone else!!!"

"Hired Hydro Clean for medium area carpet cleaning. Tech was on time and was ready to go! My husband is more aware of expert cleaning & was not satisfied with the level of cleaning we received. Lot of moisture left in carpet. I had not experienced this before & I was okay with the final result. I will definitely express my wishes/wants with next cleaning. EXACT!"

"I couldn't be happier with the carpet cleaning service! The team was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and did an amazing job bringing our carpets back to life. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work. They were able to refresh areas I wasn't sure would ever look this good again. The carpets look and smell fantastic, and the whole house feels cleaner and brighter. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable carpet cleaning company that delivers excellent results, I highly recommend them. We will definitely be using their services again!"

"They were team players, each one knew how to do all of the jobs. They were honest (I had hidden some money that I had forgotten about they found it and gave it to me) they are also well mannered and very polite. They did an excellent job installing carpet in 4 units. They had to move a lot of furniture in the units and nothing was broken. I would recommend them to anyone and would hire them again."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

If you’re using a carpet runner instead of a traditional carpet, pay attention to your width measurements. Instead of measuring the total width of your staircase with 2 added inches for foldover, simply measure the width you’d like the runner to cover. Runners generally come in standard sizes, so you may need to approximate what would look best in your space.

When it comes to flooring installers, licensing laws vary from state to state. Even if your state doesn’t require your flooring installer to have a license, your municipality or city might, so it’s a good idea to check with your town before getting started. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines.

Hiring an unlicensed flooring installer could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.

Yes, professional installation services often include the removal and disposal of old flooring, which can include materials like carpet. This process may also involve preparing the subfloor for the new installation. It is recommended to confirm the full scope of the service with your provider.
