"While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."

"I needed to have wall paneling removed and drywall & installation installed in my family room. I contacted several contractors referred by friends and other home owners in my area. I sat-up appointments with them and 1) they didn't show-up, 2) they showed up 3 hrs later, 3) it took them 3-4 days before they gave me a cost estimate for the work and 4) very high cost. I later contacted Home Advisory, but didn't get quick responses or they asked me questions I didn't know like how much drywall I needed, which of course I didn't no. Then I contacted Angie's List not aware that they shared contractors but never the less, I received a call the same day from A-1 Renovations, LLC. I told him (the caller) what I needed done and he came either the same day later in the afternoon or the next day. They gave me a cost to do the job, the exact same day while standing in my family room and when they could start the work. I excepted ! Very glad I did because my family room is beautiful. The drywall, painting, crown molding and new baseboard and recess lighting is absolutely beautiful. They started the project on time, showed up at the same time daily, their clean-up was perfect and most of all finished in a timely matter. I'm signing another contract for other work that's needed in my home with them. Plus they have GREAT designing ideas if you're not sure about something such as how to dress a wall or large space. I gave them a 4 star rating not just because of the cost and the work they did so beautifully, but also because they kept their word by keeping their promise to come to my home the same day on time and gave me an estimate/cost for the project that I called them about and above all, they were trustworthy. "Everything from the bidding process, through completion, was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Dimitri and every person who he brought into our home treated it as anyone would want their own to be treated. This was not a small project. They vaulted the ceiling in the living area, completely removing the roof on half the house, and did a full new roof. Matched the existing red oak hardwood flooring, and sanded/re-stained the entire upstairs. All the plumbing and electrical in the entire house was replace. New kitchen, 3.5 new bathrooms, finished basement, combined two bedrooms to make a master suite. New HVAC. New generator…. You name it, and it was done. When all was said and done, I think our two hall bedrooms were the one walls that weren’t torn down. We could not possibly recommend Dimitri and his company (his two sons work with him as well) any higher. They are honest, and hard working. Old school in all the best ways."

"Gus Moniodis of 4 Seasons Construction, LLC did a fantastic job on remodeling my kitchen. My house was built in the early 70’s and the kitchen needed to be gone. He did a fantastic job on clearing everything out and even worked around my appliances that I was keeping. He was very helpful on suggesting were I could purchase my cabinets and countertop at reasonable prices. Gus also did whatever I asked and even gave suggestions on some things because this was my first venture on doing anything like this. He was very professional and left my house clean, once he was finished for the day. Always on time and communicating which is very important to me. I know who I’ll be calling on my next project!!"
