Professional job -very happy with the results

As a veteran DIY painter, I took on an ambitious painting project upon moving into our new home. I wanted a gold sheen color in our dining room and formal living room and found Valsparâ s Brilliant Metals gold leaf paint. Application requires a two-step process and special rollers must be used. Having done many types of wall treatments over the years, I thought this would be a simple and fun project. Wrong. The results were awful. This was not the DIY for me. Enter A-1 Renovations LLC, who completed two rooms in two days. The results were stunningâ ¦ far better than we expected. I was amazed at the quality of their work. They are clearly highly skilled in their trade craft and made excellent recommendations throughout the process. A-1 is experienced, professional, and affordable. Iâ m having A-1 handle our future projects: add trim work to the dining room, crown molding in the great room, painting of other rooms and possibly some electricalâ ¦they do it all!

A-1 Renovation added beautiful chair railing and shadow boxes on the first floor. Their work is excellent and it shows. Very professional and nice to work with. We would recommend them very highly.

They have excellent painters who know their job

I needed to have wall paneling removed and drywall & installation installed in my family room. I contacted several contractors referred by friends and other home owners in my area. I sat-up appointments with them and 1) they didn't show-up, 2) they showed up 3 hrs later, 3) it took them 3-4 days before they gave me a cost estimate for the work and 4) very high cost. I later contacted Home Advisory, but didn't get quick responses or they asked me questions I didn't know like how much drywall I needed, which of course I didn't no. Then I contacted Angie's List not aware that they shared contractors but never the less, I received a call the same day from A-1 Renovations, LLC. I told him (the caller) what I needed done and he came either the same day later in the afternoon or the next day. They gave me a cost to do the job, the exact same day while standing in my family room and when they could start the work. I excepted ! Very glad I did because my family room is beautiful. The drywall, painting, crown molding and new baseboard and recess lighting is absolutely beautiful. They started the project on time, showed up at the same time daily, their clean-up was perfect and most of all finished in a timely matter. I'm signing another contract for other work that's needed in my home with them. Plus they have GREAT designing ideas if you're not sure about something such as how to dress a wall or large space. I gave them a 4 star rating not just because of the cost and the work they did so beautifully, but also because they kept their word by keeping their promise to come to my home the same day on time and gave me an estimate/cost for the project that I called them about and above all, they were trustworthy. A-1 Renovations was excellent to work with form the beginning to the end. The owner, Alisher, took the time to walk through our home and identify everything that we wanted done. He also made observations of some areas and suggestions of how they could be corrected with little quickly with no additional cost. After the walk through, Alisher constructed the quote their in our home and we discussed it together. The final product was well done and looked amazing. We would recommend A-1 Renovations to anyone that wants the job done correctly and for the right price. We will use them again in our next home after our move. Great job guys.

A-1 did some painting for me at my condo: all ceilings, crown molding, door frames, doors, baseboards, entire master bedroom and master bath. Their staff of painters were exceptional and quick. Not one drop of paint on anything other than where it should be. They were exceptionally careful and very courteous. I try to recommend A-1 to all my friends who are looking for this type of service. I couldn't be happier.

A-1 did a fantastic job with the interior painting project I hired them for. Their attention to detail, quality and clean up after the job was excellent.

Alisher was very responsive and helpful at the beginning of our process, as we were narrowing down contractors and paint colors. Once we decided to go with A-1 Renovations, he gave us a very detailed quote and we walked through the house discussing what needed to be painted. He was even super helpful with suggesting different paint colors and sheen based on the location of the room. Alisher's team was very careful with laying down drop cloths before getting started and finished the job on time. They even agreed to haul away some old paint that we no longer needed from the previous color! Unfortunately, I did not have my checkbook with me when the job was finished, so we agreed to meet the following weekend to handle payment. However, no one ever showed up and it became very difficult to get a hold of anyone. It ended up taking 2 or 3 weeks after the job was finished before we were able to pay the company. I ended up just sending a check to the address listed on their website. After being in the house for about a month, I started to notice some flaws - wall paint dripped onto the cabinets, missed spots between door rails and wall, wall paint running over onto the trim, and sample paint showing through the new paint. I'm a bit bummed about this, but I think I still got my money's worth in the end. This team was a fair amount cheaper than other painters, and they were very friendly and helpful during the most important part of the process. UPDATE: Alisher contacted me, offering to address the issues I highlighted in this review. He stopped by and we reviewed what needed to be fixed. I'll update this review once the fixes have been completed. FINAL UPDATE: Alisher fixed everything! He worked very hard to make sure that I was happy with the paint results. I was particularly concerned with being able to see the sample paint through the new paint. Alisher pointed out that this was caused by the sheen difference (between the sample paint and new paint) and could be addressed by priming the surface before painting (we did not include primer in the quote). Alisher offered to fix every instance of this issue for free! He came by with another member of his team and they finished everything in an afternoon! I am incredibly happy with Alisher's dedication with making sure that his customers are happy. If you are looking for an affordable painter with excellent customer service, I definitely recommend A-1 Renovations!
