"This was a really good company and I think they did great work HOWEVER if you are suffering from a respiratory condition called CIRS you will need to hire a specialist. I did not know this at the time. There are very, very few mold remediation companies that are qualified for this specific mold removal process."

Small jobs welcome

"This is not a mold remediation company. When you hire this company, you are simply getting a mold test. Be specific when you explain your problem and what you are looking to get done. The mold technician was in and out in 20 minutes. He took an air sample and one swab, that s it. For the price of $299. Once you get the results of your mold test, they refer you to a company that is in the business of selling mold remediation products. Originally as much as $1600 for mold bombs, sprays and commercial graded air scrubber. I negotiated down to $1195. Then settled on only what I needed. Know what you want, do your homework before buying products you do not need."

"Chris was WONDERFUL! I just purchased a home and wanted to have a mold inspection done for peace of mind. Chris took time to explain the process and put my fears at ease with his vast knowledge. He reviewed the test results with me prior to closing which gave me the peace of mind I needed to confirm I was making a good purchase and great investment. "We had Flood Crew out to help when our hot water heater broke. Bill and his crew were great! From the water remediation to installing a whole new floor in the basement, the crew took care of every step. These are some of the hardest working guys I’ve ever seen! And they don’t play around, they get the job done. I recommend them to anyone needing this type of work done. Thanks a million, Bill & crew! ???"

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

According to the EPA, mold grows within 24 to 48 hours if left untreated after a water leak. So unless you notice the leak and stop it right away, you only have a day or so before mold is a real concern. If you don’t notice the leak, it can take about three weeks for the mold spores to become visible. That means you’ve likely had an active mold infection for a few weeks by the time you notice discoloration.

Asbestos fibers can stay airborne for 48 to 72 hours, depending on the home's ventilation. Fibers can linger longer in enclosed spaces with poor airflow. Because the fibers are microscopic, they can easily remain suspended, making them difficult to detect without professional equipment.

Soaking memory foam can break down its structure over time or even encourage mold growth. However, brief encounters with moisture will not ruin your memory foam. As long as the mattress, topper, or cushion dries soon after getting wet, there's nothing to worry about. Just be sure to keep the affected item in an area with plenty of air and sun to encourage quick drying.

Inhaling black mold spores, even from behind walls, can cause people to have a wide variety of potential health issues. Some people may only notice a few breathing problems, while others can become quite sick with symptoms related to severe allergies. Constant exposure to mold spores can lead to lung infections and other long-term health problems. If you believe you have black mold inside your walls, you will want to reach out to a pro for an inspection and for advice on how to take care of the problem before it causes severe illness.

The pink mold appears because of the presence of a naturally occurring airborne bacteria called serratia marcescens. When this bacteria lands on a moist surface, it multiplies, creating the pink film. To reduce the ability of this bacteria to multiply, use a bathroom exhaust fan to reduce humidity in the bathroom. Regularly clean the interior of the shower with a disinfectant as well.
