We are a family owned and operated business. We are an independent 3rd party mold testing and mold inspection company. Mold remediation protocol written by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) states that remediation companies should not do their own testing and testing companies should not do remediation, it is a conflict of interest. Not all mold projects needs to be professionally remediated. Our goal is to not only let you know if you do have excessive mold but how did you get it and how can you prevent it in the future by providing honest and outstanding service through dedication, hard work, attention to detail, integrity, and always focusing on our clients' best interest at hand. We know that the secret to our success has and will continue to be our satisfied clients. We will go anywhere in Maryland. I had a possible asbestos concern after pulling up my carpet and finding the black tile adhesive you would find underneath the AVT (house built in 1960, since flipped) We were attempting to replace our carpet, but the company wanted a negative test before they completed the work. Mr. Rudd had no problem coming out same day and collecting samples on multiple parts of the basement. He communicated how long it would take and sure enough, got the results back today. He was very thorough and knowledgeable on the subject and gave recommendations in the event of a positive result. Got the results back and can now give the green light to the carpet company all thanks to Mr. Rudd's work! Great job. Would hire again in the future, and he emphasized any questions or concerns to call him anytime. Great work and great customer service. Thank you!

I reviewed Mr. Rudds report with several companies for a second opinion. Many of the items Mr. Rudd considered critical were not significant per the others I consulted.

"Your mold issue was mainly due to lack of ventilation. When you have high humidity and excessive mold in the entire basement with no leaks from the outdoors, this says that there is not enough ventilation. The purpose of the HVAC is to help control humidity and filter out particulates from the air, this was not happening in your basement. Even in homes with the proper minimum ventilation rates sometimes is not enough and you need to take it a step farther which is what I recommended. When spore counts are similar or less than the outdoors this is normal conditions for mold. You had 5000 spores as compared to 13 in the outdoors. This is not similar."

Mr. Rudd of Rudd's Indoor Environment and the service he provides are EXCEPTIONAL!. Mold can be a scary subject but if it is something you need to look into Mr Rudd is the man to look to. We used him to do a mold inspection for a home purchase. Very satisfied. He knows what he is doing and was very thorough, professional and very informative. At the same time he is easy to talk to and easy to contact if there are any follow up questions or needs. He often answered the phone right away, but if not, he returned my calls or emails quickly. He also made himself readily available for phone calls from any other involved parties (in our case the real estate agents) who need further explanations.

Danny was great!!! We are doing a house refi and the appraiser noted a mold like substance in the basement bathroom. I contacted Danny and e answered his phone whenever I called, and was quick to come out to test our mold. In the beginning, he explained that he only tests, does not do remediation and why it isn't good to have a company that does both together. He made this process easy to digest and feel like I wasn't going to go down a road that was an expensive scam. He thoroughly explained the test process, and even told me that it might be just an allergen, which in fact it turned out to be. He sent me a thorough report, and then let me know that the mortgage company could call him directly if they needed any clarification or didn't understand the report.

Daniel was great from the start of the process. He thoroughly walked through my basement for any indications of possible mold and was able to go beyond answering all of my questions. Once he called with the results, he told me exactly what needed to be done before, during and after the remediation process. The report provided was also very detailed. Did I mention he is a super nice guy? I would definitely use him again if need be.

Daniel was great to work with. He called when he said he would. He showed up for the testing on time. Explained what he was doing. He did a very thorough check for moisture behind the walls and air samples where needed. He really showed that he knows what he is doing. If I ever need a mold inspection done again I ll be calling Rudd to do it.

Danny was an exemplary professional. His customer service, and knowledge of the field was not only comforting but comprehensive as me and my wife are not experts on mold. He also stated several times that we should allow the owner to conduct his own mold inspections before we paid for his services, only to get his second opinion and to find more than the original inspections. Danny was so thorough during his inspection and was able to get us out of a bad situation because of the mold he found and the unsafe air we were breathing. I recommend Danny to anyone considering!
