The business owner came to our home and presented a verbal estimate, and said it would be a three day job. Once we agreed to price, he presented a very generic contract that did NOT detail the job description. When asked, the business owner, said he didn't like to complicate the contract with details. The job was to begin on Monday July 2, 2012 at 7:00 am sharp, according to the business owner. Monday morning the crew showed up at 8:00 am instead, owners response, "its a typical Monday morning, hard time getting started." I reviewed with him the list of concerns and intensions we discussed early in the estimate / contract phase. He assured me that everything would done according to our 'verbal' agreement. I returned home later that evening to see one side of the roof and been removed (the old plywood removed) leaving our attic, insulation and rafters exposed. The roofers were gone, there was no tarp or anything protecting our attic in the event of rain. Luckily it did not rain. The next day the roofers started at almost 9:00am, the start time was supposed to be 7:00 am. Upon returning home on day two, plywood now covered the exposed side of the roof, but the entire ridge/apex of the roof was left exposed. No tarp present. Rain was imminent. My husband asked the roofers if they were going to cover the roof with a tarp, they said the boss (business owner) said it was not necessary. About 30 minutes later we received a downpour of rain at which time we called the business owner to let him know the rain now flooded our attic, insulation, and was now dripping to the ceilings below and ?raining? in our living room. He said he would send out his team to put the tarp on?but the damage was already done. My husband and son scrambled to find tarps or anything to cover the top of our home while we waited another 30 minutes for the roofers to show up with the tarp. Now, the attic full of water, insulation is soaking wet, and every ceiling in our home now has water damage and water stains. Day three on the job was the July 4th holiday, this was supposed to be the final day of the job, but they weren?t even half done. The three day job turned into 8 days, with considerable water damage throughout our home, and they left a mess. We are still finding nails and debris in our yard and our attic is filled with left over nails, empty boxes and debris left from the job. The business owner made claims he ?would make it right?. But at this point, he had already deliberately disrespected my home by leaving it exposed to the weather, we didn?t want him to fix any of the damage, since we?ve already seen his work ethic in action. I would never recommend them to anyone."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/md/oakland/edwards-construction-reviews-7440454.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"KINDER GARDEN LLC","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MD","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Sheraya W."},"reviewBody":"My son has attended for about 6 months. Holiday Decorating reviews from real Angi homeowners in Royal Oak, MD
"My experience with TLC Inc. was a very positive one! I had a well/cistern that was leaking onto my lawn. Apparently the drainage system had deteriorated over the years. Mr. Drew Hall came out to look and discuss the project. When we later met at TLC to discuss solutions, Mr. Hall clearly explained what has to be done and showed me photos of a similar project. Mr. Hall also worked efficiently with my town’s public works and the county agency to create a system that was satisfactory for all. As the work progressed, Mr. Hall diligently kept me updated. Now, my lawn is dried out, instead of being a swamp. I recommend TLC Inc. for any water-related issues! Thank you, Mr. Hall!"
