"I was impressed with Clean Power Wash from my first conversation on the phone with the owner Rob Anderson. Rob made an appointment for his employee Greg to come over to my house to assess the power washing job on my 3 story cedar shake home. Gregg was very professional and discussed having to use a lift on my house because if itâ s height. Also he informed me that none of my spring plant buds that were peeking up would be stepped on & also a board would be used under the lift equipment so no tire tracks would be left on my lawn. When the crew of 4 men showed up on schedule they were professionally dressed in their uniforms which were waterproof jackets that not only had the company logo on the back, but the main theme was our MD state flag. These 4 guys continuously worked diligently with a smile on their faces. I had a good feeling that they all enjoyed their job. I am very impressed with the fine job that Clean Power Wash on my home. "Larry and his son did an excellent job repairing two holes I had in my drywall. The end result was a flawless job. He even patched up some drywall issues I had in a bathroom I had free of charge. I can't recommend this company enough. Thanks, Larry"

Heavy amounts of snow could be a problem. In many climates, lots of snow on your rooftop can lead to freeze-thaw cycle that create ice dams, which can damage rooftops. But if you’re using shingle clips, this snow poses an additional problem: As it melts and freezes, it can easily dislodge clips you’ve placed on your roof.

You can clean snow off your roof after a fresh snowfall while it’s still lightweight, but brushing off snow can also dislodge your clips. If you get a lot of snow, then roof clips become less viable.

Christmas lights typically do not need to be grounded like electrical circuits in your home do. However, it's crucial to use outdoor outlets equipped with ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs) for added safety. GFCIs can help protect against electrical shocks and are recommended for outdoor electrical connections when using Christmas lights.

The average cost to have a professional install Christmas lights on a roof is about $420, with most homeowners spending between $220 and $650. Some companies may charge between $1.25 and $3 per square foot, excluding the cost of the lights. For extensive or complex jobs, the cost can exceed $1,000. While doing it yourself can save money, it is only recommended if you are comfortable working at heights.

If you don’t have a ladder, you may be able to use a light-hanging pole. If not, you’ll have to rent a bucket lift or other machinery to reach your roof.

There is no formal date for Christmas light removal, but January 2 is a standard day to take them down for many homeowners. However, some homeowners’ associations have strict rules around this topic, mandating that residents remove lights no later than two weeks after Christmas. Check with your local association or community for more information.
