"We couldn’t have been happier with the oversized deck which was designed and built by Freedom Fence and Home. The crew was professional, courteous and truly a pleasure to work with. From the initial meeting regarding the design, to the final day of the build, we had the best experience and we are so glad that we made the call to Freedom. Thank you to the entire team for creating our outdoor oasis. We love it!"

"Najee and his team worked masterfully to repair our patio. They worked late on day 2 to finish our job in 2 days instead of the 3 days they had planned. They restored our 100 year old patio to its original beauty. Each worker was professional, paying great attention to detail. Najee stayed in contact to let me know when they would arrive. I highly recommend these young craftsmen."

"Mr. Bob was a delight to work with. He met me at my house same day and gave me competitive pricing. I had a new 14 x 14 concrete patio put in and my porch stairs repaired. It was originally supposed to be 12x12 with plans to have a sunroom mounted on the patio in the future. Mr. Bob saved me a lot of grief by recommending the proper size and type of concrete needed for the job. The crew was courteous and patient. I had to make arrangements for a fence to come down and they were flexible and worked with me and the neighboring property owner. The patio and stairs were completed 4 days early and look amazing! I would hire them again and highly recommend!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

In most parts of the U.S., adding a screened-in porch requires a building permit. Since this type of project often involves structural work and changes to your home’s footprint, homeowners should adhere to local guidelines. That said, permit rules can vary widely depending on where you live and how extensive the project is. Before you start sketching out plans or ordering materials, check in with your city or county’s building department to avoid headaches, fines, and potential structural issues down the line.

Yes, with custom measurements ensuring perfect fit and function.

The cost to screen in a porch depends on whether you are adding screens to an existing structure or building a new one from scratch. Adding screens to an existing porch costs about $5 to $7 per square foot, with a national average cost of around $2,800. For example, screening a 12-by-12-foot (144-square-foot) porch would likely cost between $700 and $1,000. If you are building a new screened-in porch, the cost is substantially higher. A new 12-by-12-foot screened-in porch can cost between $6,400 and $18,300, while a new 14-by-16-foot one averages around $11,000. The final price will vary based on the size of the porch, labor costs, and the materials you choose.

Increases living space and adds value to the home through enhanced utility.

A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.
