"I live in a house that is over 100 years old with a stone foundation that also forms the basement walls. The old mortar between the stones had deteriorated over the years to the point that water would seep in in multiple places along the perimeter of the basement wall. This seepage basically occurred after every rain, and I always needed to move objects stored in the basement away from the perimeter for fear that they would be water damaged. "Kelvin Funes, owner of KF Remodeling is a very experienced contractor in all aspects of home building and remodeling. They have done four jobs for me this year from Feb to July of 2025. "I received an email from Angie's List within 48 hours of signing up for the "deal" advising me to call Quality Plumbing to arrange for an appointment.   We agreed upon Monday morning, the 31st of March at 10 AM.  The representative showed up at that time and began to remove his shoes, to avoid tracking up the house (a nice touch),  I recommended that he not do so, for a number of reasons.  He immediately went to the basement to drain the water heater.  After completing that task he came upstairs and examined the plumbing in the kitchen and the two upstairs bathrooms.  At the conclusion,  He advised me that my water heater, which is approximately 11 years old needs an expansion tank to bring it up to current codes.  The rest of the plumbing is in good shape."
