"Great company! Even though they are located on the East Coast, they have excellent control over their local professionals. EXAMPLE: I requested a cleaning of my siding (along with my windows) and paid a deposit. On arrival, the professionals realized that their product was incompatible with my cedar siding. They credited this to my account and the other orders I placed. I’ve been using them for years and have no reservations about recommending them to others."

"I hired Pestnow for monthly mosquito treatments after referral from a neighbor. I can't say enough good things about the company's customer service. Immediate responses and great effort to go above and beyond. So impressed that i just cancelled the contract i had with a national company for quarterly pest control and signed up with Pestnow (for a lower rate as well). Oh, and so far so good on the battle against the mosquitoes."

"After Discovering termite damage to the window frame of my living room window, I knew I had to get professional help right away. I checked Angies List and after much research, I decided to contact Aaron's Termite & Pest Control. I spoke with the owner and scheduled an appointment for Aaron to do an inspection, provide recommendations and provide a cost estimate.  Two days later Aaron's arrived at my residence at the agreed upon time and after discussion - Aaron's began his inspection of my property.  His complete inspection included inside the house, the entire crawl space area and outside of the house.  After completion of the inspection, Aaron's did a great job in explaining what he had found during his inspection, how much damage had already been to my house, what he would need to do to take care of my problem and what the cost would be.  Aaron's provided me with a written review of his inspection and a cost for the job. Because of Aaron's knowledge and professionalism , I decided to give Aaron's the job.  We scheduled a date and time for the work to be done.  Aaron arrived on the agreed upon date and at the agreed upon time with one other worker.  Both men showed great knowledge and professionalism and after a brief conversation, the work began.  Aaron drilled holes in my crawl space area, dug a trench around the outside of the house, drilled holes in the cemented patio and other cemented areas around the house and pumped in the chemicals.  The cost ($650.00) of the job was very reasonable and well worth it for all the work that was performed by the two technicians. Because of all the trees, many dead, I intent to purchase the yearly maintenance for $65.00.

After all is said and done - I am very satisfied with Aaron's Termite and Pest Control. I made a great decision when I called Aaron's.  I requested Aaron's leave some of his business cards with me because anytime anyone says anything about termites or pests, I intend to refer them to Aaron's without hesitation.  GREAT JOB AND VERY SATISFIED.

"Stanley was ready to roll on a cold rainy Sunday. He did a thorough search of my troubled areas and identified entry ways. For the price estimates I had received, his price was very decent. He got to work that very day. After week two or 3, I began to see the results. I called Stanley and he came right over to clean it up and repatch some holes. I hired him for a second job removing critters from inside wall. Iâ ll be calling this company for all my pest control services. He is extremely polite and just all around, Iâ m very happy with the service provided."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Some plants that are toxic to animals or insects are also toxic to people. Daffodils, for example, are considered poisonous to humans (although they are rarely fatal). Most of the other plants listed above, however, are safe (and delicious!) for humans to eat, including basil, rosemary, and lemongrass.

There aren’t any solutions that can rid your yard of mosquitoes for good. But with a good integrated management strategy that combines repellents, treatments, decluttering, and drainage, you can keep populations in check.

When woodpeckers start banging on your walls or roof, they are probably looking for insects to eat, storing nuts for winter, drilling a hole to make a nest, or communicating with other birds to establish territory or find a mate.

The size of the hole can help determine the reason for the pecking. Small irregular holes are a result of insect hunts. Acorn holes are more consistently sized and often fitted with a nut in the middle. Nest holes are large and have rounded edges. If the bird is pecking to mark its territory or attract a mate, it may leave dents rather than holes, and the noise will stop when the mating season starts in spring.

Yes, it’s actually common to see more cockroaches after you spray. It might seem like things are getting worse, but that’s usually a sign the treatment is working. Roach sprays and baits can flush them out of their hiding spots as they try to escape the chemicals. You might notice them acting strangely—slower, twitching, or out during the day when they’re usually hiding.

The most effective natural roach repellent is Borax with its key ingredient of boric acid and diatomaceous earth. But some homeowners may not feel like these are “natural” enough, especially since you can’t use Borax around curious pets or toddlers.

On the other hand, studies have shown that oregano oil mixtures have some of the best repellent effects, and other research indicates that catnip oil, peppermint oil, and citrus oils have notable effects on keeping roaches away. Rosemary oil has been shown to be the most effective natural oil for killing cockroaches outright.
