"E Stanley paving did a great job. Their representative Joe was friendly and professional and able to answer all our questions. They started the job within a few days of the initial visit. It entailed a lot more work than I thought. They had to bust up three sections of the driveway in order to make it level and get a proper base and had to raise a drain in the driveway. Due to many issues with the county grinder in our front yard that the county has had to excavate our driveway had sunk down 3 inches. They created a smooth surface level to the sidewalk and did a nice job on the edges. We couldn't be more thrilled."

"The owner, Fernando, was fantastic from start to finish. He gave me a great price and was very attentive to exactly what I wanted. He and his crew worked very hard to get the job done on time. I had them mulch my entire yard which is a very big job. I also had them lay stone in the drainage ditch. I was very happy with the work that was done. I will be using The Paver Boss for years to come because they do just about anything I need done outside. I highly recommend them and give them a 10 out of 10!"

"My last project with Minor Adjustments was an upgrade composite deck. Replacing all the old wood, installing a new stair case. It looks beautiful. I've used Minor Adjustments for several projects. I've hired this company for a Paver Patio, Tree Service, and the installation of an entry door."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should lightly wet the sand with a hose before laying the pavers on top. This activates the bonding agents in the sand, ensuring that your pavers don’t shift around during the installation process. However, you should make sure that the sand is not soaked; overwatering can cause the sand and pavers to not set properly.

An example of permeable paving is a set of cinder blocks or natural stone pavers with room inside for natural materials, such as gravel, sand, or grass. You can also design these pavers with brick or plastic tiles.

In addition to these pavers, permeable pavement can be obtained by using a highly porous material, such as pervious concrete or pervious asphalt.

You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

One advantage of selecting a resin bound driveway over concrete or asphalt is that homeowners have a variety of colors to choose from. Manufacturers customize aggregate materials, so customers can choose browns, golds, greens, blues, reds, and blacks. Some manufacturers also offer metallic shades.
