"It went great. Within a day of my puchase I received a response from the company to schedule a date for service to be done. The time availability was great. Ms. Ruth and her mini team did an outstanding job. They were very professional and courteous. My home definitely needed a deep deep cleaning. I would definitely recommend and would use again."

"Samantha was FANTASTIC! My condo needed a very deep cleaning. The previous owner was a heavy smoker and the apartment had not been well cleaned in years. She went above and beyond to make the place sparkle- she literally brought the appliances, floor, tile, furniture etc back to life! Worked tirelessly with a great attitude. I HIGHLY recommend Sam for your cleaning needs."

"Great service -- technician was here all day, installed new garage door openers, removed the old ones, and programmed our cars to link up to the new door openers. Answered questions and was very professional. Also replaced springs on one door bay, which were old and failing. Very reasonable price."

"I get my home cleaned once every 2 weeks and I am quite comfortable with working with this company. They do a really good job with cleaning my home. They don’t mind spending a little extra time working with me when certain unforeseen things may arise, and they send me reminders a day before if there are any change of plans. They are very professional and I have had no problems working with them."

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

Regular checks of structural elements, weatherproofing, and energy systems.

It’s possible to use a torch to melt ice on your garage door, but we don’t recommend it. It’s very easy to bring the flame too close to the door, which can melt the weather stripping or even the garage door itself. You’ll melt ice quickly with a torch, but the damage you’re likely to cause can end up costing you a few hundred dollars to fix, which isn’t worth it. Instead, we recommend pouring hot water over the frozen area or using a less intense heat source, like a hair dryer or space heater.

Garage door sensors should be installed on each side of the door, typically six inches off of the ground. The sensors communicate through an infrared beam, so they need to face each other directly for the system to work properly. Make sure they’re level and aligned, and keep the area around them clear. If they’re too high or out of alignment, your garage door won’t function properly.

Christmas lights and decorations are prone to heat and humidity damage, so keep this in mind if you store them in the garage. Put the lights in plastic bins with tight-fitting lids to keep moisture out to keep them safe until next year.

On average, a garage door can last between 15 and 30 years. However, this lifespan is influenced by several factors, including the quality and material of the door, local climate conditions, and how frequently it is used and maintained.

Key factors affecting longevity include:

  • Material: Wooden doors can last 20 to 30 years or more, while steel doors typically last 15 to 20 years. More robust options, like triple-layer steel, can last 25 to 30 years with proper care. The number of layers in a door also contributes to its durability, with each additional layer potentially adding five years to its life.

  • Maintenance: Regular inspections, cleaning, and immediate repairs can significantly extend the life of your garage door.

  • Usage and Climate: Doors in harsh climates or those used very frequently may wear out faster.

  • Components: Individual parts have different lifespans. For example, automatic openers may fail sooner than the door itself without regular maintenance, and garage door springs typically need replacement every 7 to 12 years.

While the door panels are designed to last as long as the door, they should be replaced sooner if they become visibly damaged, impact the door's smooth operation, or create a security risk.
