"I recently hired Wizard Appliance Repair LLC to replace our garbage disposal, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service! From the moment I reached out, they were prompt in responding to my inquiry. The technician arrived on time and was incredibly courteous throughout the entire process. The installation was completed swiftly and efficiently, demonstrating their expertise in the field. Moreover, the fair price for the service was a breath of fresh air in today’s market. "Seemed to have done a very good job. I’m just curious why the business card given to me by the tech..Hamed has a different address 5422 Richenbacher Ave Alexandria, Va. And I question the invoice because it was sent to be electronically which was fine but it had a different telephone number under my name. And the charges $150 to diagnose but was actually applied to service provided, $150 and service to the GE stackable I was charged $150 for cleaning the washer and $100 for cleaning the dryer (only used a vacuum cleaner) and $125 to replace the water inlet valve Is Hotak Appliance Repair 5422 Richenbaker Ave Alexandria, Va and Hotak LLC 4507 S Four Mile Dr Apt 21 Arlington, Va the same company"

"The temperature control and ice maker in my freezer were both broken. I received estimates from a number of companies and MohTech was very competitively priced, but also had the lowest initial estimate fee. Khalid was very responsive and polite in setting up appointments and I even received text notifications when he was on his way to my house. He was extremely professional every step of the way in explaining what was wrong and how long it would take to get parts and fix. I had some difficulties with the ice maker following the first visit and Khalid came back out free of charge to take a look at explain to me what I had to do in order to make it work. I'd absolutely use MohTech again and highly recommend them for any appliance repair needs."

"Ken was very helpful with all my needs for power washing. He came out earlier than scheduled...which was great! He gave a fair and honest estimate of cost which any consumer appreciates and he and his son did a great job. I would hire them again and again. Thanks for the great job."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

There are a number of factors that make an item difficult to recycle, but it often comes down to mixed materials. Any item you can’t leave on your curb for recycling pickup is likely considered an item difficult to recycle. Common examples of items considered difficult and require special handling or other recycling arrangements are tires, appliances using freon, batteries, and compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs).

To get rid of the smoke smell in a microwave, scrape off any burnt food residue and throw it away. Next, warm a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for three minutes. Then, dip a microfiber cloth into a mixture of water and a couple of drops of dish soap and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Dry the inside of the microwave with a fresh cloth and let everything air out for three hours.

You can disable a fridge door alarm on most modern models by pressing and holding the door alarm button for three seconds. The door alarm button is located on the control panel, which is usually on the face of the door if you have a digital display or just inside one of the doors on the body of the fridge. But keep in mind that the door alarm is a helpful feature that can identify refrigerator problems and reduce your running costs, so it’s best to leave it on.

The appliances that frequently experience problems are the appliances that get used the most and have to deal with strong forces. These forces, like doors slamming, are a common cause of issues with washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers. Couple that with the fact that these are usually the most used appliances in a house, issues can compound quickly. Fridges, clothes washers and dryers, and dishwashers are appliances that see the most issues.

Usually, surfaces that heat up or begin to glow when in use are traditional electric cooktops. Induction ranges only warm slightly, and often do not have an indicator that they are turned on (though some newer models have lights to mimic the glow of electric units). Because induction stovetops don’t get very hot, they are considered safer than electric units.
