"Danny came out and was exceptional, diagnosing and repair a mess of mistakes from another company involving close to a dozen lights and switches. Also installed two bathroom exhaust fans. Again Danny was absolutely a miracle worker, deserves an A++++++ rating. I will definitely use Murphy Family Services again...and request Danny."

"Completed the jobs in a professional, skillful, quick manner, and at a reasonable cost. Submitted a request at 10:30 AM, and received Good Time Home Care’s call in less than 30 minutes. They gave me a fixed fee cost, same day time schedule, and completion estimate. They showed up at the time they said they would, ready to work, with the tools needed and started to work. Job was finished on time - 1 ½ hours. My wife was really happy; door had no marks, cuts, mistakes, or blemishes from being installed. Their installations services are top notch. I noticed their truck denoted they performed landscape work. Asked for a quote on a second service, and accepted their offer. They removed a large bush for a lesser price than anyone quoted me. Finished cutting, and removing bush in an hour. I’ll be using Good Time Home Care services – great people."

"Tony and his crew were absolutely amazing. Tony gave me a reasonable price and his expertise in color selection and ideas were on point.  The crew re-painted 75% of my townhouse, which was originally in a neutral darker tan color. The tan color really took away from the lighting the house gave.
Upon Tony's recommendations, we repainted the ceiling back to white and the walls int he living, dining room, kitchen, foyer and staircase from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor to nonchalant white (sherwin williams paint). The crown molding was repaint white and the base boards.
The basement room or recreation room was painted in two colors: the accent wall was painted Bracing Blue (sherwin williams) and the remaining walls in Mist (sherwin williams). We added at the last minute the bathroom in the recreation room which was also painted in Bracing Blue (sherwin williams).
The staircases leading to the bedrooms and the hallway were painted in white.
I was completely amazed in how the paint selections made the house look 1000x better. The townhouse looks amazing and brand new, I walked in almost believing I was in the wrong house.
Tony is extremely responsive and we are currently looking a other projects within my home. Next up is the master bedroom and bathroom amongst other things. I look forward to our brainstorming session.

"I had been struggling to find a firm to repair my bedroom ceiling drywall and replace insulation ik my attic after a major water leak from my roof. Robert & Son Construction responded to my inquiry within hours and came to my home the same day to give me a very reasonable estimate. They then scheduled the repair two days later and were in an out in less than 6 hours. My ceiling is pristine and looks like nothing ever happened! The patch isnt even discernable a d that was no small feat as it abutted a sprinkler line. Truly impressed with the workmanship and the customer service! The insulation they installed has even dramatically improved the temperature control in the room and they painted the ceiling and left the remaining product for me use without additional cost. They were professional, prompt, kept me up to date with everything along the way, and they did it all with smiles! Cannot recommend this company enough!!"

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The square footage of your room will dictate the correct ceiling fan blade size. For example:

  • Rooms smaller than 75 square feet require a fan that is 29 to 36 inches.

  • Rooms up to 175 square feet require 42- to 48-inch fans.

  • Rooms up to 350 square feet require 52- to 56-inch fans.

  • Expansive spaces over 350 square feet need a fan larger than 60 inches.

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

Leaving an exhaust fan on constantly isn’t ideal. While it helps remove moisture and odors, continuous use will lead to wear and tear, higher energy costs, and even fire risks if the motor overheats. Bathroom fans should run for 20 to 30 minutes after a shower, while kitchen exhaust fans should be used only when cooking or clearing air.

Replacing an AC fan motor takes one to four hours for a pro to complete, depending on how easy or difficult it is to access the AC unit. A pro may also spend extra time inspecting the unit to make sure everything else is in good condition. It may take a few days or a week between the time a pro orders a new fan motor and when the replacement comes.

A whole-house fan will not allow you to control your home's temperature and keep it at a specific temperature like a traditional AC unit would. You rely on the night and morning weather to cool your home down efficiently. Also, whole-house fans can be loud and may allow cold air to enter your home in the winter. They also require penetrations through your exterior walls or roof, which could invite water and pests in if they aren’t installed properly.
