"Everything went very well. Workers did a good job putting up fence once the right equipment was obtained. I'm very satisfied with this addition to my existing fence."

"The Fence and Deck Connection total experience completely exceeded expectations! From the initial contact to request a meeting; meeting with David King to discuss our ideas and creating design plans; receiving CAD drawing of the design; meeting with Anthony (AJ) Jean-Louis to discuss production plans and quickly answering questions along the way; the production team did a great job on the work site everyday - from start to finish; and meeting with AJ for final walkthrough. The complete process was done with professionalism; an enjoyable experience for such a major project. We are so glad that we selected Fence and Deck Connection for our deck and fence replacement projects. We look forward to enjoying our deck for many years to come!"

"This company not only provided us with a beautiful new fence replacing the old one, but did so helpfully and professionally, all in a timely manner. We are very pleased with both the process and the result. Their price was also under most other estimates given. Highly recommended."

"I had such a great experience with DryTech. The estimate was clear, fair and fast. Communication was also clear and responsive. I never felt like I was out of the loop on my project. Yes, I love my fence, but my appreciation for the wonderful crew that did my installation! They were polite, worked hard and didn't make excessive noise when working late into the evening. They were on time and did as they said they would. I didn't have to hoover lol. They had everything under control and worked very well together. They hand dug my post as to not damage my garden. This was no easy task and I appreciate that. Some of the other companies wanted me to remove whole flower beds and trees so they could machine the post holes! That's crazy! Not DryTech they hand dug! I'm completely impressed. Great job guys!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Traditional bamboo fences use twine to attach pickets to posts and stringers, but you have to keep an eye on the twine, as it will deteriorate over time. Alternatively, you can fasten bamboo pickets to framing using fence screws.

Wattle fences are typically around 4 feet tall, but they can be built taller or shorter depending on their intended use. Taller fences may require additional reinforcements, such as thicker posts or tighter weaving, to ensure the fence’s stability and durability against wind and other elements.

Yes, installing wrought iron fencing will usually require a building permit, as do all types of fencing. Building permits for wrought iron fencing typically cost between $150 and $500, and the price will vary based on where you live and how much your local building department charges. You may also need to pay for a property survey if you’re installing wrought iron fencing on your property line. This type of survey can cost around $500, but it prevents issues with building on neighboring properties, which can be much more expensive in the long run.

The best type of temporary fencing depends on its intended purpose. For example, if you need it for added security, to ensure the safety of children and animals, or to keep pests out of a garden, the ideal material will differ. For simply warning people away from a construction project, plastic orange fencing may be sufficient. Barricade fencing is a good choice for blocking off small areas. If you need to protect an area from trespassing, theft, or vandalism, more robust security fencing is necessary. Once you understand the primary function, you can select the most durable and cost-effective material for your specific project and yard size.

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.

That said, it is possible. Sometimes the post will lift right out of the concrete. If not, you can use a high-lift car jack to try and lift the pole out of the footing. Put the new post into the same hole and backfill it with fast-setting concrete. Keep in mind, this won’t work well for metal posts.
