"The RaLo electrician did a great job running new wire to install my outdoor camlight. He also informed me of a number of other issues he noticed and gave me good price to address those issues as well. I definitely recommend their services."
"Ludwing did an amazing job! He installed a new light fixture in my home and what I appreciated the most was that he explained the connection to the wiring and how things work. This was very helpful because he corrected a job from a handyman who installed a light fixture that could have destroyed my home. He is a master of his craft. Not only will I use him for future projects but have also shared his contact with friends needing electronic assistance."
"It went very well. They were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They were respectful of my space and of me while working in my home. They did a walk-through before hand to make sure we were on the same page with everything and then did another walk-through at the end to make sure everything was done and correct. This is the first time I've dealt with an electrician and I was very impressed, I will use him again in future if we have any electrical problems."
"A+ Top notch service. Installing 1 attic fan, realized needed another one replaced. They went out, got a 2nd one and installed them both, plus gave advice on our under cabinet lights that always blink. Followed up the next day with a $15 solution to try before we do a repair. Good communication - they answer the phone when you call. Showed up on time and done in under 2 hours which included the time to get the 2nd fan."
"I purchased a $99.00 deal for 1 electrician for two hours and Angies List also gave me $10.00 off. Ryan came to our home and he was punctual and very professional. He was ontime and went right to work. After he finished the lights in the garage he said I still had time left on the agreement so he got his extension ladder and replaced both of my second story outside flood lamps. I could not have been happier with his service and what i received for my money. I would recommend his group anytime and will use them again. Thanks Angie's List "
"The light switch in my bathroom started making a sound and I could smell it burning. I called the company as soon as they opened. I got the owner on the phone and he said he could have someone come out to my house later that day and gave on instructions on handling the light switch until his employee arrived. His employee called prior to visit to let me know he when he would arrive. The employee arrived on time, replaced the old switch and installed in a new switch. They charge by the hour and there was still time left over, so I was able to have him check on some other electrical issues. He gave me his assessment the issues and his recommendation for the products I needed. He also worked with the owner to offer me a discount when I was ready to get those items installed. I will be using their services again soon."
"The speakers were installed nicely. Although they were installed too close to wall and now limiting my options for screen install. The owner is very knowledgeable and I wish he was present on the day of install."
"Very professional and knowledgeable in his work. He worked and cleaned afterwards. The only problem is the ceiling was cut while installing the light and I would like it repaired please."
The housing for high-quality recessed lighting can last a lifetime. But how long the bulbs last depends on the type you choose. LED lights are the most common and tend to last the longest, often 30,000 to 40,000 hours. Compare that to incandescent bulbs, which only last for 1,000 hours or so.
There are four main types of lighting used in homes: ambient, task, accent, and decorative. Within these categories, there are a number of fixtures to choose from including ceiling-mounted lights, floor lamps, under-cabinet lights, track lighting, and more.
Choosing the fixture that’s right for you depends on your home design and the area you’re looking to illuminate.
Solar landscape lighting is the easiest type of outdoor lighting to install. Because these lights don’t require being hardwired to an electrical connection, installation consists of simply staking the lights into the ground, with no wires required. Solar lights are a good option for houses without outdoor outlets or for areas that are much farther from the house itself.
The light that your ceiling light gives off will largely depend on the type of light bulb that’s installed in it. If you’re looking to brighten a dark room, LED bulbs are the way to go. LED bulbs will emit the most light while also using less energy than standard bulbs. They can last up to 50,000 hours and will need to be replaced much less often than standard bulbs.
No, it's not hard to install a light fixture. If you have some electrical knowledge and a pre-wired installation location, it's possible to tackle it in an afternoon. Installing new wiring for the light fixture is best left to a professional electrician. Inept wiring can lead to a house fire or electrocution and invalidate your home insurance.
