Do not use this company. They will rip you off. The contract was for eight 300W LED 40 ft pole lights, but I caught them redhanded installing 240W. Who does that? Then, they broke my lock and broke into my sprinkler room which I saw on my video which they admitted. Then, Kolb sued me for not paying the bill which I disputed due to lost tools as result of the break-in. Who does that breaking into a customer's sprinkler room and not informing that they did. I had to catch them on my video. Not only that it took over one year to the work proposed work. TOTAL FRAUD. I will be going to court....

Christ the Electrician was timely and focus. He was committed to completed the job and did a great job. The only problem that I have I paid over $400.00 for the work and as of today, Friday, August 31, 2018, I don't have a receipt. I spoke with Customer Service and a person by the name of John and both assured me that they would email me my receipt. How do you pay for services and have to fight to receive a receipt. Very unprofessional

Very well. PEPCO took a while to their part but Kolb stayed with it to make sure the job was finished.

Response time from Kolb was good; within 48 hours their electrician (Ramon) was at the home. Ramon made a very thorough analysis of the problem before starting the repair work. He worked efficiently to alleviate the problem. After the repair was completed he checked and double checked to make sure the appliance was working properly. A very favorable experience.

They did a great job. There wasn’t perfect coordination between the electrician and the county inspector.

It went badly. They supposed to install a spot light motion detector and set it's timer. The first service provider of Kolb Electric (Chris Pasey) install the light but didn't set the timer, so I needed to call them to asked someone to come over to set it. The next service provider came over and set the timer but for only 4 mins. I felt a that this is a bad work and very inconvenient on my end.

I contacted Kolb---they came out after hours during the storm and fixed the generator, giving us great peace of mind. Last year, I used their website to get a quote on generator maintenance. I never heard from them. This was disappointing. Both the responsiveness and punctuality ratings would have been "A" had it not been for the latter experience.

Very responsive, extremely knowledgeable, excellent problem solvers. They kind of really solved the mystery of why the generator didn't work that had to do with the electric.

Very good- problem solved but socket in fixture was not possible to be repaired- tech recommended new fixture telling me it was not cost effective to take it down and rewire- we followed his advice. Responsible company- did not charge for a follow up call. Realized it was part of the same problem.

6 weeks and still not completed. Initial estimate went well and estimator on time. Setup 830am appointment for work. No one showed by 845 so I called main line and they had no record of it, so I left. Got a call at 915 that electrician was there to do work but I had already left. Had to reschedule. Electrician shows up and does some work but needs to wait on BGE to complete it. Try to set appointment after several weeks of not hearing from company. Estimator replies a week later after he said he would follow up that I missed the inspection appointment that he never informed me of. Ok, so we set a new date and my wife is there and the electrician shows up with no clue of what he needs to do, so he waits there for BGE. After 2 hrs electrician leaves and BGE shows up and can't do their job until electrician does his. We're now 6 weeks into something that should have been done long ago. Would never recommend them again. Check their Yelp reviews and you will see this isn't an isolated event.

They were punctual and they were efficient. I just had a scheduling mix-up but overall they were very good.

They were quite good but they had a glitch in the computer system. They did not record me and they did not come so I had to cal again and say well. Fair price.

The work was completed to my satisfaction.

We were billed for 2 hours of work over two visits to replace a receptacle and swap out two exterior light fixtures using pre-existing mounting hardware. One hour was about what we were expecting for such a simple job. The first visit, they diagnosed the problem with the existing exterior lights (they had to be replaced) but couldn't repair the receptacle because they didn't have one of the in-work type. I don't know why they went to a job to replace/repair an outdoor receptacle without the hardware they might need. They wanted to charge $200 for this (nothing had actually been done at this point!) After a few phone calls they agreed to charge for half an hour at the first half hour rate, and come back to complete the job once we ordered new fixtures and bought the receptacle and in-work box and it would be billed as a continuance. We got the fixtures, they came back, did a decent job, but didn't have any silicone weatherproofing sealant. Billed $270 for a simple job, and I'm left going to the hardware store to seal the light fixtures myself.

How did it go? Not well. I finally just bought the required ladder at 200 USD and did not pursue Kolb Electric further. I should have just bought the ladder in the first place. Live and learn.
