All of your masonry needs quality is first and foremost. I have been in the masonry field for over 15 years. When I was taught the trade my teachers motto was do every job as if it were your own home, and I live by that and take pride in every job I do because I love what I do.

"RUN!!! Do not use this service. This guy broke up my cement to my house, while doing another job, which was poorly done. He is refusing to pay for the cement that was good prior to his arrival. The retaining wall he called himself putting up was done very sloppy. He dies not return calls and consistently keeps lying. After seeing these reviews I see why. Do yourself a favor DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Fireclay is a type of clay but it is a type of clay that, because of its chemical composition, can be fired at a much higher temperature than other clays. This results in a denser and more heat-resistant final material. Because of the high percentage of a mineral called kaolin, fireclay sinks are smoother and more durable than other clay types.

They offer durability, aesthetic appeal, and resistance to weathering compared to concrete or asphalt.

A traditional rectangular brick that is used for siding, brick walks, and pathways is 8 inches long by 4 inches wide. If you are shopping for fire bricks, the standard dimension is typically 9 inches long by 4.5 inches wide.

Yes, you can use a mixture of 1 tablespoon of bleach and a gallon of warm water to clean stubborn stains from brick. Do not use bleach without diluting it in water. Undiluted bleach may cause discoloration. You can use either Oxygen bleach such as OxiClean or chlorine bleach. Always wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling bleach.

You should use cement for a chimney crown. The purpose of the chimney crown is to protect the mortar below from water damage and the effects of weather. For this reason, chimney crowns should only be made using cement. When repairing a crown, use caulks and sealants designed for cement repair rather than mortar repair.
