"From start to finish this company performed like the professionals they are. The salesman came out within a day, got my quote within 2 days and the work was scheduled within a week. The guys were courteous, professional and made their job look easy. I had my sidewalk raised and the crack filled and also had about 6 bricks replaced on my front porch. The work turned out better than I could have imagined! I recommend this company to anyone who needs concrete repairs. Great job to everyone involved!!!"

"Could not have gone better. I needed to educate myself about preventing my basement from ever flooding so I took the time to receive 4 bids. NV clearly found the best path forward without suggesting I perform thousands of $$$ in unnecessary work breaking up my basement. Lately, I have had many different kinds of contractors at my home. The team at NV was by far one of the most cordial, professional and reassuring that I have met with. I even called the owner of NV to tell him how much I appreciated the work. The team actually found a way to save me some moment off the original quote by using some of my existing infrastructure. Let me be clear, installing a new sump pump is tough work and can be very messy. After the team left you would not have known they were there. Very impressive. I would recommend NV to anyone who may be concerned about their basement. Top tier service and professionalism across the board."

"Austin Wells handled our sinking concrete pad and cracks near my garage. He explained everything, neat, and very professional. My wife and I appreciated how he wore a uniform and conducted himself in as an expert in his field. I would definitely call JES again, in particular, Austin Wells to handle any other concrete leveling issues."

"Good people to work with, professional in every way. Normally when we received 2" of rain water would start entering the basement. When we receive 3" the basement floor would be covered. Two days after installing their system our area received 8.5" of rain and our basement remained dry, not a drop got in the house. These guys know what they are doing."

"We were very pleased with the 2 different jobs they did. They replaced concrete steps and at the other job, they replaced entire driveway and sidewalk. Both jobs were excellent. Everyone was polite and cleaned up everything at the end of the job."

"Richard and his crew built me a 500 sq ft concrete patio. Unfortunately, the weather kept delaying the project, but they worked hard to get the job done despite the weather. They stayed late and were flexible with me and my needs. If I had any issues, Richard was quick to resolve and help out. Only thing I would change is that the weather (torrential downpours) made the work site messy, I will need to clean up some of the splatters of concrete on my fence and reprint a bit. But mother nature causes problems like this.

"

Marvin is very conscientious business man. He showed up when he said he would, worked under some of the hottest conditions imaginable to complete the work as scheduled. When a couple of issues arose he returned and redid things until I was 100% satisfied.

One of my neighbors saw his work and contracted him for concrete work at his house. He ensures customer is completely satisfied and is a man who keeps his word. I would definitely hire him again

"I&F concrete did an incredible job on our home. In the course of four months, we hired them to do six different jobs: retaining wall installation, sidewalk repair/installation, driveway stone paver installation, brick patio installation, fence installation, and basement access repair and installation. Each of these was done professionally, on time, and at great value. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Fidel and his company!"

"I had standing water in my backyard and also water leaked in the basement. John came up with good solution for yard drainage, it took away water from the house. Also did a great job on basement waterproofing. I am so happy that I don't need to be worried anymore when it rains. Definitely recommend! Crew was very kind and highly professional from the beginning till the end, all work was done on time as was agreed. Great job guys!"

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.

The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.
