"Tes knew right away what the problems were with leaking sink & garbage disposal. He expained what service was needed and the cost. The cost was reasonable and he worked to resolve all issues. I also was grateful that I didn't have to wait long for an appointment. I inquired last evening and he came the very next morning."

"They did a great job, and are affordable! They offered a quote on the phone, and told us depending on how the toilet looks the price could change. Thankfully, it did not. Our technician, Phil, was professional and great at what he did. We would hire them again!"

He listened to my concerns, created practical solutions, and resolved them in a timely and comprehensive manner. He was timely, efficient, and provided quality work that answered my concerns. "We moved into a new house six months ago and recently thereafter started having problems with our sewer line backing up.  The original sewer line was installed when the house was built in 1961 and it was that terra cotta pipe which is subject to root intrusion from trees.  Initially we had the line cleared and things were working better, but knew we'd need to replace the entire sewer line at some point.  That point came in early June when the line started backing up again.  Again we had the line cleared, but this time the plumber clearing the line pulled out mud which meant the line was damaged beyond any quick fix.

We then had four different plumbers come out to estimate a replacement line.  The rub is that our exterior sewer line runs under our concrete driveway which is in good shape.  Only two of the four plumbers we saw said that they would try to replace the line without breaking up the driveway (Frank of Taciak & Sons was one).  This was incredibly important to us as that would have added an additional cost of several thousand dollars (most likely) to fix the driveway to an already expensive repair.

Frank was incredibly personable and professional when he came out for the estimate.  He went over all of our options (which were few) and answered all of the questions we put to him.  He was very thorough in describing the work that would be done and how they would do it.  Frank did let us know that breaking up the driveway might be necessary, but that they would do everything in their power not to break it up.

The plan to replace the line was to dig ditches on each side of the driveway where they could access the line and then insert new, 4" PVC piping through the old 6" terra cotta line.  Thankfully they did this expertly and did not have to break up the driveway.

They also replaced and added clean outs (two) for the line so that we were up to code.

Once completed, they filled the holes back in, reseeded the areas where the grass was destroyed and then swept the work area so dirt was not all over the place.

The total job took about 7 hours and the cost was very reasonable for this type of repair.

They were fantastic and we would recommend them!

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up.

Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.

While not every state requires that plumbing work be done by a licensed plumber, it’s in your best interest to find a local, knowledgeable plumber to handle your mobile home’s plumbing. Plumbing is a very complicated process, and making a mistake could cause big trouble down the line—small leaks can quickly grow into large leaks and cause massive (and costly) water damage issues.

Sometimes. While many traditional homes use copper, galvanized steel, PVC, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and PEX, mobile homes will typically use PVC, CPVC, or PEX. These materials are more flexible, easier to work with, and handle colder temperatures.

You can use normal solder, which consists of a tin and copper alloy, on copper pipes. You should avoid using leaded solder, especially if you're soldering together water supply lines, as it will contaminate drinking water. One way to test if your copper pipes contain lead is to scrape off the solder. If the scraped area is shiny, it likely contains lead.

Depending on the home, wastewater either goes into a septic tank and seeps back into the backyard or is sent via sewer system to a local sewage-treatment plant. Septic systems naturally separate different components of the waste so that it can naturally and safely disperse it. They are usually reserved for homes not served by a municipal sewage department (like rural homes). A treatment plant, on the other hand, speeds up that process through screening and purification.
