"Contacted them for utility room lighting and above kitchen sink job. They were able to get both jobs done (with the proper updated approach and fixtures). The quality of work is exceptional. We have an extremely old home and I was impressed with the technicians ability/knowledge. On top of that I am extremely pregnant and needed the work done within a certain amount of time. These guys came through almost next day. Thank you x100000"

"Two workmen showed up at the designated time and installed 'in wall' electrical for undercabinet lighting in the wall along with trouble shooting additional 3-way light switches, dimmers, and USB outlets. Work was fast, efficient, and professionally done within the allotted time. Would definitely recommend and will use Nasr Electrical again in the future."

"Mr. Diaz is punctual. His team of workers is professional and always clean up nicely after each project. Once we are his customers, he helps out with small projects like install window well cover that required drilling into brick wall and change ceiling light fixture. We are very pleased to have Mr. Diaz with his works."

"Bruce from GAC did both the estimate and the work on my home. We had three ceiling light fixtures installed, a fan rewired, an outlet installed and ethernet run. They were extremely professional from start to finish and made the entire process smooth as can be. Would absolutely recommend GAC for electrical service."

"Dominic was great. He arrived right on time and started tracing a hard-to-find short. For over four hours he checked socket after socket, switch after switch, ultimately crawling through spaces I didn't know existed. He found the problem, a rodent-chewed wire that was a likely fire hazard. He corrected the problem with new junction boxes and updated the outdoor sockets. He demonstrated a level of knowledge, professionalism and determination that puts him at the top of my list of go-to electricians. I'll be asking him back soon to take care of some outdoor lights that need upgrading. I hope he won't be bored!"

"Antonio, was very friendly, he replaced the outside light and the kitchen light. The kitchen fan had a down pole. I wasn’t satisfied with the movement. He took the fan down numerous times to make sure I was satisfied. He did a great job and I will use his services again."

"The light switch in my bathroom started making a sound and I could smell it burning. I called the company as soon as they opened. I got the owner on the phone and he said he could have someone come out to my house later that day and gave on instructions on handling the light switch until his employee arrived. His employee called prior to visit to let me know he when he would arrive. The employee arrived on time, replaced the old switch and installed in a new switch. They charge by the hour and there was still time left over, so I was able to have him check on some other electrical issues. He gave me his assessment the issues and his recommendation for the products I needed. He also worked with the owner to offer me a discount when I was ready to get those items installed. I will be using their services again soon."

"Our house was built in 1995: way before residential broadband was a thing. AASV came in and ran network cable from the attic to the basement, replaced our Verizon router and installed a gig switch and two Eero Max 7's. We're cookin with gas now! The network engineer was triple certified and knew what he was doing."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible to hang a chandelier without wiring, but it depends on the design of both the chandelier and your ceiling. Many homeowners use plug-in pendant lights, adhesive hook and cord pendants, or nonelectrical light sources to hang a chandelier without wiring.

Track lighting typically needs to be hardwired, connecting directly to the electrical wiring in your ceiling for a permanent and reliable power source. Hardwiring provides a clean and professional look with no visible cords. However, plug-in track lighting options can be connected to a standard electrical outlet, offering easier installation and flexibility. The choice between hardwired and plug-in track lighting depends on your needs, preferences, and existing electrical setup.

The average cost to install a light fixture is $600, with a typical range of $200 to $1,100. The total cost depends on several factors, including the type and number of fixtures, wiring requirements, and your location. Additional costs may apply for removing old fixtures or for any necessary electrical or drywall work. Replacing an existing light fixture is generally less expensive than installing a new one because the wiring is already in place.

When it comes to eye health, warm light is much better for you than cool light. Cool light is harsher on the eyes and causes strain. If you’re working in cool light, you may want to consider wearing blue-light glasses to protect your eyes.

In this category, homeowners provide materials. Some installers may offer advice on suitable options.
