Contacted them for utility room lighting and above kitchen sink job. They were able to get both jobs done (with the proper updated approach and fixtures). The quality of work is exceptional. The owner responded immediately on. Sunday and gave me his cell phone number. I called and he helped troubleshoot the issue, which was successful. We still scheduled a visit to have one of his employees do some maintenance on our wiring and to take a look at our dryer which kept tripping the breaker. He provided a temporary fix for the latter and then the owner referred us to an appliance repair guy who ordered the replacement part and then installed it for the permanent fix. Bottom line: Bill Hyman is a true professional (and problem solver), making sure we got what we needed!

Bill Hyman and team have done great work on past jobs and today talked us through our electrical problem via phone and how to fix it and ended up not needing to come out (or accept payment). Another reminder why they are hugely recommended.

Good work, fast turn-around. Bill Hyman was quick to respond and gave a lot of advice over the phone, even doing some visual inspection on a real-estate site to plan out work. Two techs came out on the next business day. Techs were friendly, answered all my questions, and managed to give a lot of information even while doing a small job. Will be my first call for future projects.

I called Bill, the owner, and he asked for a few pics of the lights we wanted installed. The following Monday, he had Jeremy, and his assistant Kevin, at the house to complete the work. Bill texted me to let me know an approximate time of arrival, and also to let me know they would be a little early, which was very much appreciated. Kevin assessed the work to be done and quoted a price of $975. My initial reaction was that this may be a little high, since the work took only two hours. But, I had nothing to compare it to as I had not received any other quotes. I had previously contacted another highly rated electrical company, and the woman kept coming back and back with asking for more and more pics. I finally got frustrated and called Bill. The work was completed professionally and the lights look great. They cleaned up everything, to include the boxes the lights we purchased came in, which we did not expect. Jeremy also checked some outdoor and inground lines for us that we recently discovered after a demo of a planter box. He said the lines were all dead and that we could cut and/or bury them ourselves. Jeremy and Kevin were very professional, courteous, and most importantly, competent. And add to that the personal attention from Bill, the owner, made this a very good experience. I will definitely call Bill in the future as we have other projects to complete.

Mr. Hyman and his team were friendly, professional and efficient in getting major electrical upgrades completed on our old house in a timely manner. His prices were fair, and Mr. Hyman dealt with the bureaucracy of DC requirements and the quagmire of dealing with PEPCO. We are very happy with the work and would use them again.

This is the second time I have used Hyman Electric in the past two months for electrical services. As always, Bill, Jeremy and Kevin were top notched, professional and really good at what they did. Our house is 62 years old and the work was done in about 4 hours. The lighting looks really good!

I had a light switch break in early morning hours, called Hyman Electrical first thing in the morning, and they made to my house shortly after noon. In addition to the broken switch, they fixed a few other outlets which needed attention. Overall the work was very good.

The crew he sent was polite, helpful, and answered all my questions. And they finished the whole job in just 1 hour. I will absolutely contact them next time I have an electrical issue.

I wish I'd found these guys earlier. I have an older (1948) house and was having some odd electrical issues. Bill returned my call quickly and spent quite some time on the phone discussing the issue even before sending his crew came out. Long story short, not surprisingly my legacy service was not adequate for modern electrical demands. Bill and his team were great - they were timely, worked quickly, and explained what they were doing and why I needed it done. Communication was great throughout; I was having other work done at the house and Bill worked directly with that contractor to coordinate, which made life much easier with me. Finally, Bill handled all the PEPCO and county inspection interactions and got it all done promptly. Highly recommend for workmanship, professionalism, responsiveness, and fair pricing.

Jeremy came out, found the problem and changed out an old fluorescent ceiling light fixture and replaced it with an LED setup. Hyman Electrical was very responsive! I got a call within about 2 hours of submitting my online request on Sunday (yesterday) and arrived first thing on Monday (today) to help me out. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend them or hire them again!

Project was upgrading service from 100 to 200 amps, installing new panel, new meter, grounding, and a new drop from the street. I gathered a number of quotes, and by far felt the most comfortable with Mr. Hyman. Plus the price for the job was in line with my expectations. The work was completed quickly and professionally. I'd definitely recommended using them.

Amazing - Bill Hyman called in response to a request on Angie's list and I explained that several of my kitchen outlets were not working. He suggested that before scheduling an appointment, I try pushing the reset button and told me where to find it. It worked! I did not need an appointment after all. I will 100% call him for my next electrical issue.

Jeremy and his apprentice Kevin did an outstanding job. They were thorough, professional, polite, and explained the work being done throughout the job. Our house's electrical system was over 60 years old and not up to code or safe. Our fuse box was replaced with a new panel and breakers. The Pepco inspector remarked that Hyman's installation was one of the best installations that he has ever inspected. All of our outlets and switches were updated to meet code. The team found and resolved several problems that were serious safety issues. Our kitchen was upgraded so we could operate appliances without overloading the system. A line was installed to operate our air conditioner condensate pump directly and not from an extension cord. This was an expensive project and I know that I received the best service possible. I am very grateful to William Hyman Electrical for making our home safe.

Bill did a great job, including getting county inspections and PEPCO hookup accomplished on a tight schedule to enable closing on property on time. I highly recommend his company.

Bill and his crew are a great team of professionals. They completed a clean install of a Tesla power station for my car and a couple of power outlets for the garage.
