very satisfying work on my driveway would recommend them to anyone very helpful
"SEJ paving did a fantastic job with my erosion problem at the end of my driveway and paving my driveway all in a day which was very impressive for the amount of work there was they cleaned up and were very nice highly recommended everything was spelt out with job and what they were going to do"
"E Stanley paving did a great job. Their representative Joe was friendly and professional and able to answer all our questions. They started the job within a few days of the initial visit. It entailed a lot more work than I thought. They had to bust up three sections of the driveway in order to make it level and get a proper base and had to raise a drain in the driveway. Due to many issues with the county grinder in our front yard that the county has had to excavate our driveway had sunk down 3 inches. They created a smooth surface level to the sidewalk and did a nice job on the edges. We couldn't be more thrilled."
"Amazing job on my full replacement and extension of my driveway. They were very competitive with their estimate and they explained exactly what they would do to make sure the job was done properly. My job required excavation work and installing a new base layer throughout the new and old driveway. They also made sure that they did not interfere at all with my neighbors. Professionals from the estimate to installation. I highly recommend them!"
"The workmen were on time and cleaned up completely after finishing the work. The driveway work was very professionally done with extra attention given to water drainage challenges."
"It looks beautiful. Brian's crew took out the old concrete slabs and put in beautiful red/grey pavers. The walk goes from our front steps to the driveway. "
"Best decision we made was to go with AB they where there to walk us thru start to finish and could not have been any nicer and now we have a beautiful driveway at the end of it we’ve already passed along info and the neighbors have already been over to look and ask for info thanks again look forward to working with you guys in the future"
"Phil and his team did a great job and had great suggestions to how to accomplish what I was looking to do. They took all my downspouts below ground, combined them together including my sump pump and installed pop up emitters. Overall, it is a much better solution than the previous plastic flex pipes that discharged directly on my lawn. Also regraded a few poor drainage areas of the yard. I thought the pricing was reasonable and would hire them again."
"Job went great. Kyle's office called me back promptly when I left my first message and Kyle came out a couple days later and gave me a derailed estimate broken out with a number of different options and prices. We scheduled the work and Kyle came out and sprayed the weeds. The original date for laying the gravel was delayed due to weather, but communication with Kyle was always clear and timely. On the day the work was to be done, Kyle and his crew showed up on time and removed the top layer of existing gravel and put down a Geo-tex underlayment. The gravel was delivered in the afternoon and was spread across the driveway and into the carports. The driveway looks excellent. Kyle and his crew moved stuff we had left in the way so that they could spread stone and cleaned up everything when they were done. They coiled hoses I had left out and made everything look better than when they got there. I recommend Kyle and AZALEAS TO ZINNIAS without hesitation. His price was a third of what another contractor quoted me, and he went above and beyond in so many ways. I didn't include it in my proposal request, but Kyle dug up sunken paving stones and placed them properly in the new gravel, without adding that cost to the estimate. Great company."
"Fantastic workwoman ship, customer service and company. Our driveway was trashed and BADLY in need of seal coating, crack and patch repair. They came out, fixed ALL the cracks and were able to give our driveway a DOUBLE coat of sealant-it needed it! Super nice and great communication. Will be sure to recommend-they do all asphalt services. COVID-19 compliant in case you care...."
Whether you should resurface or replace your asphalt driveway heavily depends on its condition. If the foundation is solid and the damage is minor, resurfacing is your best bet because it’s more affordable and faster than replacing the driveway. But if your driveway has foundational problems and/or severe damage, like large, deep cracks and potholes, then it makes more sense to replace it.
When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.
It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting.
Yes, you can retrofit an existing driveway, but this usually involves cutting grooves into the driveway, installing the heating elements, then sealing them. While this is much less expensive than typical heated driveway systems, the final appearance could be diminished. Speak with a driveway paving company to confirm which design method is best for you.
Your city or county will have guidelines about the minimum and maximum width and length of private roads. The average private road is 12 feet wide, and length, of course, depends on your property. Requirements also depend on the amount of traffic and types of vehicles your road experiences. Check with local ordinances before planning a road on your property.
