East Coast Concrete or East Coast Contracting. Contractor Jack. Our last conversation I promised I would send in an unfavorable review if I received no communication and no progress. So I guess ECC does not value its' reputation. In a nutshell. ECC was contracted to repoint a 3-story rowhouse. To say progress has been slow would be an understatement. Contract was signed and approved on June 26, 2025. December 17, 2025, 6 months later I am still waiting for word, a completion date or any interest in completing this project. The job was basically left in a stand still, after the first visit. I was left with an industrial size bag of garbage in front of my home. A friend informed me a rat was scrounging around the bag. And yes, one was inside my house. I had to pay 1.800.Got Junk to remove the bag. Numerous texts, calls, pleas and for the most part of I have been ghosted. My last text was on November 20th. Angie if is this is how you run your business, I want no part of it

JACK McFEE, owner of East Coast Concrete, is FRAUDULENT and DECEPTIVE. He charged our credit card WITHOUT authorization and without doing work. Jack McFee is UNPROFESSIONAL and DISHONEST. Better Business Bureau assigned an F rated to the company. Dept of Labor Licensing and Regulation (dlr) and Maryland Home Improvement Commission SUSPENDED their license. Related businesses are Mid-Atlantic Concrete and Improvement. LUKE SCHEFFENACKER i?estimator, project manager?) s part of the scheme. One person named Alvarez started work and left abruptly smuggling his tools out of our house and telling us he was going to get lunch. He never returned. Trash was left in our front yard, ANGI should remove Jack McFee from this site before he scams someone else. Jack McFee is a con man, swindler, impostor!

Had a contract to have our driveway replaced. On the last day I was told I need to pay 4,000 more. Took about 4 weeks before they came to remove all the broken up concrete. Payed to have permits they never got them. Lost a freezer full of meat do to them blowing fuses. Been asking for money to be returned since August 12th. Been told many times they are bringing it to me. As of November 18th still no money. It is very hard to speak to someone.

Shoppers beware, this company has 11 bad complaints in the last 3 years according to the Baltimore license bureau, and my complaint will be number 12, and should not be in business, seriously folks , they cheated me by not using gravel under the concrete and no expansion joints, when asked to redo the driveway, they put me on the back burner for 2 months, work performed in August of 2025, when they decided to finally come out, they ripped up my driveway and apron and left all the debris in my yard, after 2 weeks of calling them to remove the debris and getting every excuse they can give, along with broken promises, I had the debris removed , more money out of my pocket, here is November 2025 and they still will not come out and take care of this issue, the owner of this company Jack will not take phone calls , and when he decides to return your calls , very irritating, he does not honor his warranty and you will be ignored very bad company to deal with

The work was done in a very timely manner and was completed exactly the way as estimated by the representative, we were very impressed .

The bathroom job was done incorrectly.was to have a deep soaking tub installed but installed a standard tub and the surround is for a 32 inch tub not for a 30 inch tub. Flooring is not installed correctly as it is cut too short and the hallway flooring is like walking up a slight hill . Charged me for items that were not replaced. I keep texting the owner and always says they are busy.take my money and don?t seem to want to fix the issues

Arrived on time and performed the work as described. They have knowledgeable workers that seem to enjoy their trade. Chris was very outgoing and informative.

I hired East Coast Concrete LLC for a patio, wider sidewalks, a new driveway, and hedge tree removal. While the initial estimate process was smooth, the project quickly became frustrating. The company lost access to my contract and I had to repeatedly remind them of the agreed-upon work. The internet/cable lines were unnecessarily encased in concrete. The driveway was installed six inches higher than expected, leaving a recessed water main access that collects water and is now sealed shut. Concrete splatter is on my front door, side door, house siding and sidewalks. Despite multiple requests, I never received an invoice or contract after final payment. Communication was poor, and several aspects of the job were incomplete or ignored. I cannot recommend this company and strongly advise anyone considering them to get everything in writing up front and monitor the work closely.

Let me tell you, Jack and Jake are great customer service men for this company! They explained the job every step of the way. I couldn’t be more happy with the results. The cost was reasonable and the job was done in the timeframe that they stated. They did the clean up and put everything back as it should be. Pictures are coming soon.

It was a rocky start to the repair of our outside basement stairwell wall. The team of guys who showed up didn't do the repair job as contracted. Then they left without notifying me they were done so I could inspect the job. We contacted East Coast Concrete with pictures and a list of items not completed correctly. They immediately contacted us to discuss our concerns. The next day another team came and not only corrected the issues but went an extra mile to ensure we were happy. They took their time, explained each step and gave reasons. They even power washed our steps. Memo and his team were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable . Came out on May 3 and gave me an estimate and took 2580.00 as a down payment said would start in two weeks. I let him know i had picked out a block i wanted to use by the 2nd week. Never asked me to send him what i wanted. Got a text on May 11 saying they didn't forget me was working on the schedules. Next text was May 23 saying they would be there tomorrow. Got a text on the 24th asking for the address again. Took a credit card payment for 2610.00 on the 24th of May without me authorizing it. Came and demoed on the 24th. I can't remember exactly but they either dropped off the block then or they brought the wrong block on May 27th went they came back, either way, as soon as i seen that wrong block i call them and told them and they said they would come get it and bring the block i wanted. On Saturday May 31 i looked at what they did so far and i noticed it was started in the wrong place and wasn't in an arch the way we agreed on may 3rd.They yes he was aware of that and would get that straight. Also they rebuilt two piers in the front and we agreed on building the mailbox into one of the piers. i called and told him there was no mailbox in the pier. At first he said they would rebuild it with a mailbox then text me on May 31 that they could not find a mailbox that would fit the size pier they built. I told them i worked in a shop and i could have one build any size we need.Did not hear from them again until June 18th when i disputed one of the charges with my credit card. They then told me they would be out the next day to pick up the wrong block and bring the block i picked out.I reversed my dispute with the credit car company. They never showed up on june 19th, never called, nothing. Then he says he can't get block until money was back in their account and says i'm on the schedule to be finished this weekend. Never showed up, never called, They said it will 30 days to get their payment back and wanted me to pay again. I told them i wasn't paying anymore until they come get this wrong block and bring what i picked out. Did hear from them again until August 17th when i placed a review on Yelp. Now he tells me he will be there by the end of the week,i'm on the schedule.Told me again picking block up tomorrow. Didn't show up ,no call. Text me on August 19th saying guys are scheduled to come tomorrow, no one showed up. i call again on August 20th they text they will be out tomorrow to pick up block and refund my money if i take down the review and go our own way. Text me on the 21st said they had an emergency and would be out tomorrow. No one showed up and haven't heard from them since and today is August 26th.

The guys were here on time. After easily straightening out a small contact issue they got right to work. My sidewalk looks fabulous. They completed it in a very timely matter. Jake ?? was very friendly kind n respectful. I believe the cost was appropriate and fair. It was funny seeing a huge cement truck in front of my house. Thank you for working with me to have my sidewalk completed.

The job was done successfully. My house looked crooked because of the front step settling. The crew east coast sent out fixed that with new concrete top steps and slightly sloping sidewalk pads. The original step was 10" high and east coast lowered the step. They left no sight of any materials, they cleaned up.

They did a great job and I would hire them again

The contractor made it possible to complete the entire remainder of the project by the end of the day. Everything looks great. My wife is very pleased, as well. A very PROfessional job in appearance & execution.
