"Bait and Switchers. DO NOT RELY ON AN ON AN QUOTE FOR JOB THEY HAVEN"T SEEN! IN PERSON. I gave three electricians very explicit information to bid a job. Offered New Dawn opportunity to come make in person quote but they said they didn't need to. Two of three were very close but I picked New Dawn based on these reviews. I paid a $500 deposit and waited several weeks for the service and paid for someone ($200) to be at my house to meet them this morning. Technicians showed up and said they didn't have what was required to do project and "project was out of scope of quote because it required conduit". They were told up front verbally and in text exchanges conduit was required. In fact the text said "Conduit Obviously!". Spoke to Kelly who was one of the owners who confirmed she researched and saw the text exchange and notes but said the person who gave the quote had made an incorrect assumption and that they would not honor the quote and they would have to give me a new quote. When I challenged that (nicely) she hung up on me. Typical Florida scammers."

Fast-forward to last month: we wanted to install more recessed lights along with a ceiling fan in our living room. Lucky for us, we were able to work with Rob again. The shape of our room is awkward and asymmetrical, but Rob provided some great options and suggestions, and pointed out some details we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. "Joel is wonderful to work with! We converted a semi-finished room in our basement into a home theater. Joel worked with us on how to best layout the room and installed the sound system/speakers, projector, screen, lighting, and sound panels. Joel helped us pick the best equipment for our space and within our budget. When it came to installing, he has an almost obsessive attention to detail in the best way. He saw that the screen was 1/16th of an inch off level. I never would have noticed, but he made the adjustments to make it perfect. All of his work was like that - the details are perfect. The work went fast and we could not be happier with the results. The picture is big, bright and so clear. The sound is so crisp that you can hear birds fly over your head in a movie. You feel like part of the crowd when watching a football game. It really is an amazing set up. If you are looking to install a home theater, Joel and Every Man Home Entertainment is who you should hire."

"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

"I have been on this system for 3-4 years. The initial installation went ok, but the overall functionality and reliability of the system is poor. The basic alarm system works when you manually arm/ disarm it through the app or keypad. However, the alarm cannot be set up on an automated schedule, and NONE of the connected automation features work - lights, outlets, blinds, etc. I purchased the recommended products that the company promised would seamlessly integrate into the system during the sales pitch, but none of them work. They have sent technicians out a couple times but, even after installing bulky repeater boxes in about half a dozen outlets, the system cannot connect. I have submitted several tickets, but Vintage just closes them out and suggests that I self troubleshoot. Alternatively, I can pay for an Automation Maintenance package and they will send a technician out. Bottom line - their system is nothing more than a 1990's alarm with a keypad and phone app. They dont deliver on what they sell, and they try to charge extra for support that should be included."

"Werter Arrington is fantastic! I've worked with him on multiple projects, including (1) hardwiring my home with Cat6 ethernet cable; (2) installing a patch panel; (3) installing a mesh WiFi network; and (4) running low-voltage cables and flex conduit behind walls for my TV and home entertainment center. Werter's work is always high-quality, efficient, and excellent value. He's thoughtful and creative about managing projects with the least possible disruption, like cutting into drywall. When we had to cut some holes in my living room wall to run new flex conduit, he made a great patch that was indistinguishable from the surrounding wall after we painted it. More than once, he and I have run into unforeseen problems on a project, and I thought we might not be able to get the job done. Werter has always found a way. He's knowledgeable and responsive, and he's very generous with his time over text and email to make sure he understands the project and gives the best possible advice. I really enjoy working with Werter and won't hesitate to hire him in the future. I've referred him repeatedly to friends and can't recommend him highly enough."
