Because of my 5-day work week, this was a big relief. On Sunday, he called, as agreed, and asked if he could be at my house in a few minutes. As agreed, he arrived promptly. In addition to providing a high-quality solution, he provided, at my request, education about a related issue - the exterior drain for the sump pump. He thoroughly explained how the exterior drain could be extended away from the house to mitigate the fact that the water flow was eroding the soil near the foundation. When Jim left, I was a completely happy customer. I knew that 1) it was not necessary to replace the sump pump and 2) I had the knowledge, going forward, to know how to routinely check and maintain the sump pump functionality.
