"Prestige Pros handled my tree removal process seamlessly from beginning to end. They provided pictures of what the property would look like using virtual technology so I could make the most informed decision possible. Their crew was friendly, fearless (of my 50 plus foot pine tree), and professional. The cleanup process was outstanding. I highly recommend Prestige Pros for outstanding customer service."

"Treescape Services was excellent! They were prompt, courteous and professional. They removed a large tree that was leaning over my shed and rear addition. They completed everything that was agreed upon and I was very pleased with their services."

"We had a fantastic experience with Carlos and his guys! They took down a 40 foot tree that was in between 4 houses with incredible precision. It was no small feat! Upon removing the tree, it was realized that it had started to grow around a neighbor's old fence post. Initially we thought there would be no chance of grinding the stump, but somehow they managed. It was back breaking work, but they didn't stop until it was completed. Want to hire hard workers for a tree job? These are definitely the guys to hire! Thank you Carlos! We will be referring everyone we know in need of tree services to you!"

"I was very impressed by Fernando Reyes and his entire team. They cleared 4 poplar trees and trimmed my 3 crepe mertyl. Their price was good, and their work was excellent. I was most impressed at the finished product and clean up. My yard looked great. I will be using them again for future tree work."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

There are two types of arborists: certified and consulting. A certified arborist is licensed and equipped to provide tree pruning, planting, fertilizing, monitoring, transplanting, treatment, and removal services. A consulting arborist specializes in tree appraisals, diagnosing problems and recommending treatments for illnesses. However, they will not provide these services themselves. Most consulting arborists are certified arborists who can refer you to a tree service that can administer the correct treatments.

Permits are often required for large tree removals, especially in urban areas or for protected species, ensuring regulation compliance and neighbor safety.

Tree pruning is a common and helpful tree maintenance technique that involves carefully cutting and trimming unwanted branches so that the tree can continue to grow and thrive. Pruning is done carefully and intentionally. Tree topping is a frowned-upon method that involves removing and cutting most or the entirety of the top of the tree, including structurally important branches.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.
