We had a small section of our vinyl floor cut out by our previous owners to install a wooden railing. We removed the railing and needed the flooring patched with some of the flooring we had stored away. I contacted so many floor companies who said the job was 'too risky' and declined the job, or told us we needed to replace the entire floor (for like $5k). Brian was super friendly and said he could do the job no problem, understood what we needed done, and did a great job! We were seriously getting desperate and didn't know if we were ever going to get our floor fixed. HUGE thank you to Brian for the expertly rescuing our floor!"

The work was finally begun after three delays, totaling nine days, after initially-promised start date. With two of those delays, Larry did not initiate contact; I called him to check when he would arrive. He said delays were caused by family issues and no-show workers. His floor work is great, but time management and communication need to be better."

"iHugh Lobban, the proprietor of Hew's Carpet, is the consummate professional. He is very flexible in scheduling appointments and is willing to work with his customers' schedules to an exceptional degree. Our basement carpet had never been cleaned and was fairly dirty with stains from spilled drinks and food. Mr. Lobban cleaned the carpet with an impressive amount of care and patience. He spot treated numerous troubled areas and was able to nearly completely remove an annoying stain on the light-colored carpet that actually came from fabric dye that resulted from water dripping on a piece of dark furniture from a kitchen leak on the above floor and then down to the carpet. It was clear that he takes great pride in his work.
This was the third time I've used Mr. Lobban and I will definitely be using his services again. I highly recommend him to Angie's List subscribers in the DMV area.
