The floors look great, no problem there. Sanding dust was well-contained and cleaned up. However the scheduling (and communication about it) was a problem. The work was finally begun after three delays, totaling nine days, after initially-promised start date. With two of those delays, Larry did not initiate contact; I called him to check when he would arrive. He said delays were caused by family issues and no-show workers. His floor work is great, but time management and communication need to be better.

It went very well. He was pretty responsive to phone calls and to everything I needed. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did good work.

His customer service was excellent. He is very professional. They cleaned up after the work.

Larry did what he said he would do at the price he said, and was a pleasure to work with . We will use him again. His repair work replacing instead of just cutting or plugging pieces is true craftsmanship. He took a little longer to do the job right ,stood by his price, and it all shows in the results. I would not go to anyone except Larry Morris for wood floors. As a separate project after,he put new hardwood in the kitchen and did a great job there as well.

Larry was an adventure to work with--in a good way.  We arranged everything through phone and text which was perfect for me, but very different from the full-service salesmanship you can get from other places.  From the moment we talked (and, admittedly, all his positive reviews on Angies' List), I had every bit of confidence that he would do a great job, but there was nothing I could point to that would support this confidence--just a feeling. 
It was like taking your car into a really good small-town mechanic.  He's not going to walk you through it, he's just going to fix it.  I'm sure if I had questions, Larry would have answered them, but I didn't know what to ask and he wasn't volunteering.  Communication just isn't his thing.
He was concerned that our floor was quite thin and took extra care in sanding it. The floor is no longer level (we have to fold paper under the legs of all our tables), but I assume this is because of the material he had to work with.
I thought he was going to do the job in three days, but it ended up taking over a week because he would show up some days and not others. This wasn't a problem for us (we hadn't moved in yet and had given him a key to let himself in).  Toward the end of the week, we let him know that we needed it finished so we could have other work done and he happily accommodated.  If you have a specific timeframe for your project, be sure to let him know upfront--it's part of that whole communication thing.
Bottom line:  he does good work for a good price, but I had to set my control-freak tendencies aside and just trust.

I contacted Larry after we sustained hardwood floor damage in the kitchen due to a leak from the ice maker.  He installed new hardwood flooring in the damaged area and refinished the entire first floor.  We were very impressed with the end result.  Larry and his staff did an excellent job of matching the stain color to the existing wood trim and the floors looked like new. Larry and his staff were a pleasure to work with.  They were professional and extremely efficient.

To begin with, we got quotes from 3 other businesses on Angie's List.  Although the quotes were very similar, we chose to use Larry Morris due to his easy going personality, and his willingness to work with us on our somewhat uncertain schedule.  Although the hardwood floors in our house are over 10 years old and are faded in some areas, Larry was confident that the color of the new floors we were having installed  would match the color of our existing floor.
Upon receiving payment, Larry and his crew removed carpet from our office and our upstairs hallway and began to cut and lay down new hardwood.  The cuts that were made were well done and there were no excessive gaps along the edges of the boards. The crew also did a great job of minimizing trash and kept the areas they were working on very neat which was much appreciated.
When it came time to staining the floor, the color of our original floors was tough to match because the floors have faded over the years. In order to make sure the color would turn out right, Larry's crew stained several scrap boards for us and laid them out so we could see the differences.  Despite the different color shades that were present in our 10 year floor, Larry's crew was still able to come up with a custom mix that very closely matched our floor and made the transition from new floor to old floor seamless.    
The rest of the process went very smoothly and the end results turned out great.  We are very pleased with the way the work was handled, the quality of the work, and the crews willingness to work with us in order to get perfect results.  That said, I would have no issues recommending Larry Morris for hardwood wood floors, and plan on using him again in the future when we get around to refinishing our existing floors. 
What more could you ask for?

Everything went really well. The only complaint we had was with the communication about the finishing of the projects. From the very beginning we told Larry that we had a certain time period we needed the work to be done because we would be out of town for quiet  away after the deadline. I think as a testament to how good the business is, he had a lot of projects going on and some unforeseen things came up at other sites which meant we had our delayed a few times. Larry did stay extra late the last day to make sure the project was done on time and we really appreciated that.
A few things about how the process was and the end result. First, the re-finishing was done VERY well and a huge bonus was that his workers did an amazing job at minimizing the dust. We were really amazed at how little dust there was, we were prepared by friends and family who had re-finishing done for a mini dessert of dust. The newly installed wood flooring in the family room turned out really good as well. He did such a fantastic job of matching the colors of the new wood and the re-finished wood. They removed the old carpet with no problem as well.

He did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him to anybody that needs his services. Nothing was left in disarray afterwards. All of the issues that we had were resolved extremely fast. He is very good. I thought their price was extremely fair price.

Larry did a professional job.  The floors look very good.  He did it while we were away and stayed on schedule.  Importantly, everything was clean and nothing was damaged.

From the first call, Larry always picked up his phone.  His small team were all great and helpful in deciding exactly what we wanted to do.  Despite a tight time schedule, Larry managed to finish the job quickly, allowing us to get our painters into the house before we moved in.  We would definitely recommend.

Larry was very helpful over the phone even before he came out to do an estimate for the job. There wasn't a hugh difference in price in the 3 estimates I got but Larry was more concerned that I got what I wanted and didn't try and sell me something else as the other 2 companies tried to do. I wanted an unfinished floor to be stained a certain color and the others keep trying to talk me into a pre-finished floor. He/crew were on time and worked weekends to get the job done before painters came in the following week. The floors are beautiful and I would have him back anytime to do any other work I might have.

Prior to starting, Larry came to my home, measured the rooms, and gave me a price quote. They carefully removed the contents of the room, did a quality job of installing the flooring, thresholds, and shoe moulding,  and replaced the contents of the room when complete. Larry consulted me about all details of the job before the crew started (such as the direction of the wood, the placement of the thresholds, etc.). The crew was professional, kept the job site clean, and did an overall excellent job of installing the floor.  I would highly recommend this company.

I had multiple flooring companies come out to my home to provide me with quotes.  I was having the carpeting ripped out upstairs (approximately 1,200 square feet) and on my staircase (about 22 steps).  When I met with Larry, he was professional, punctual and courteous to my wife and I.  He wanted to listen to our requests and work with us to provide exactly what we had been looking for.  He is extremely knowledgable and gives you his "best-practices" recommendations to help make an informed decision on wood, style, stain, etc.
Before we got his quote, we had already decided that we wanted to work with Larry and his team.  After getting his quote, we DEFINITELY were excited that we had called him.  He was significantly less expensive than his competitors, and was very flexible as far as scheduling the work. 
My wife and I are hiring Larry to come back and refinish our entire main level.  The work he did turned out AMAZING.  A very detail oriented and CLEAN team.  Excited to see his next job at our home.  Hire this guy!

1. I hired Larry initially back in August of 2012 to tear up old hardwood and carpet in my kitchen and dinning room.  I had originally expected to have Larry install a pre-finished harwdwood, but after looking at the unfinished product he had and the ability to finish the floor to a color more complimentary of our cabinets, we went with the unfinished.  Larry and his team arrived on time and were very clean and tidy during the whole process.  They taped off the area where the sanding would take place to keep dust from filtering through my entire home.  I couldnt be happier with the product selection and the durability of the product he recommended.  We have a dog that has full access to the floors and the finish coat he applies has done a great job of protecting the floors. 

We were so impressed with the quality of work, that we brought Larry and his team back in January to do our living room.  It looks as though he did all the rooms at once. They flow together seamlessly.  I will reccomend Larry and his team to anyone.  He will be my hardwood floor guy for any future projects.

Overall, it went very well. Larry promptly came to provide us a quote, fitting us into his schedule rather quickly. The work was done timely over the course of four days, and exactly as he described it would. Despite installing floors on our stairs, they were non-intrusive. The workmanship was impeccable, and the finished product beautiful. We have already asked that he install hardwood in another location in our home based on this experience. We would recommend him highly to anyone.

We were thrilled with the process start to finish. Can't recommend Larry enough!! We get so many compliments on our floors and how seamless the patching is.

Larry Morris Floor Services had the cheapest bid of the 3.  One bid was close to Larry Morris' and the other was more than double Larry's bid.  I selected Larry Morris because I felt he was very knowledgeable and experienced.  His crew has worked with him for 6-9 years and Larry is a local small busines.  Larry was professional and very accommodating.  Larry was honest with us as to when he could start and allowed us to select the stain.
I called Larry on the phone for the bid.  He was polite and we set up an appointment.  He was on time and checked out the floors.  I showed him how the floors looked like they had boils on it that popped.  I never saw anything like it before -- popped bubbles!  Also, the hardwood floors were very faded near all the windows and was very noticeable.  Larry said he could make the floors look brand new and that once the floors were sanded, we could pick out any color of stain we liked.  We picked Larry's company to do the work.
The house was empty and we gave Larry a key to enter our house.  We stopped by the first afternoon and the floors were partially sanded.  All the kitchen cabinets, library cabinets and everything that could have plastic protection taped to it was done.  Larry put several colors of stain that I had picked out on the sanded floor near the front door where there was lots of natural light.  None of the stains looked like I thought they wood so I asked Larry what his favorite stain was and he went to his truck, retrieved the stain, and put it on the floor.  WOW!  It was fabulous.  I loved the color; it was light on the non grain of the wood and dark where the grain was.  We were very impressed with the color and selected it.
Once the sanding was finished, Larry stayed late and put down the stain.  The next morning his crew put on the first coat of polyurithane.  We peaked in at the floors but did not step on them.  Then the next day another coat was put on the floors and the third day another coat.  We waited 24 hours and then we able to walk on the floors.  They are absolutely beautiful.  Even my mother who is very picky, said they were gorgeous.  I am extremely happy with the work Larry Morris Floor Service did and love the floors!

Larry arrived promptly for an appointment that was good for us - late at night.
He gave us a solid quote and even offered to come prior ro doing the job to sample various colors so we could have some time deciding what color to go with.
We elected to leave the house during the work - so we gave Larry our house key and felt very safe in doing so.
To our delight, when we saw the finished work - Larry and his team did an amazing job !!!
Larry came back to give us the house keys and move furniture - again at a time that was good for us (yes, late at night)

Larry was very knowledgeable and explained the process and our options thoroughly.  The estimate was reasonable and he wrote it up on the spot.
Removing existing carpeting and installing new hard wood for floors and stairs took few days.  They always cleaned after, stored power machines neatly and were respectful to our house. Everything went very smoothly. The flooring looks so great and I am extremely impressed with their careful attention to details.

Work was started and completed as stated and they cleaned up after themselves.  Larry was a pleasure to work with and his workmen were very courteous and hardworking.  I highly recommend his flooring service.
Unrelated recommendation is to wait to pain the baseboards until after the floors are completed.  It's impossible for them to not create a few touch-up spots.
